MQM delegation visits Bilawal House, deplores firing on House









KARACHI : A delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by Deputy Convener MQM Rabita Committee, Dr. Farooq Sattar Sunday during a visit to Bilawal House deplored the firing on it. The MQM delegation comprising its leaders, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Sardar Ahmed, Baber Ghauri and Adil Siddiqi met with the PPP leaders and condoled the firing on Bilawal House.
PPP leaders including, Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Sindh Home Minister, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza, Sindh Minister for Education, Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, Sindh Minister for Information, Shazia Marri and Advisor to CM of Sindh, Rashid Hussain Rabbani attended the meeting.
Later, Sindh CM left the Bilawal House and remaining leaders of both political entities jointly addressed a press conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Farooq Sattar MQM considers firing incident on Bilawal House like an attack on MQM’s Headquarter “90”.
He added that the Centre of every political party is respectable to us.
Dr. Farooq said that objective of their visit to Bilawal House was to express solidarity with PPP leadership and its workers.
He said that after the firing incident on Bilawal House was another incident took place on the same day, when unknown motorcycle riders sprayed bullets on MQM workers in Landhi. Two party workers shot dead while two others received wounds.
Dr. Farooq termed both the firing incidents an attempt to disturb the peace of the metropolis.
He informed that during the meeting, leaders of both parties offered fateha for late Benazir Bhutto, father of Dr. Farooq Sattar as well as for the assassinated MQM workers.
Earlier, Pir Mazhar welcomed and thanked MQM delegation on behalf of his party and its Co-chairman, Senator Asif Ali Zardari.
