Post "Jab We Met", the Bollywood beauty has shed so much weight that there is a ceaseless spurt of speculative stories about her weight loss."People are saying I want to be like Victoria Beckham. I think the talk started when Saif (Ali Khan) got himself tattooed with my name. David (Beckham) had done the same for Victoria. But honestly, I'm proud of my sculpted body. It is a look that I needed for my new film 'Tashan'," Kareena told IANS."But I haven't starved myself to look the way I'm looking these days. Why should I want to be like anyone else? I've done nothing drastic to myself. I do yoga religiously and I'm eating like any healthy girl, thank you."She is amused by the numerous anorexic stories about her doing the rounds."It was written that I fainted on the sets because I've become weak. Utter rubbish! Have these people seen me in person? I look no different from the way I looked earlier. I guess I'm just happy in life and that shows. I haven't lost weight. Hrithik is happy to be back in action

Following the success of Jodhaa Akbar, the popularity of the Krazzy 4 song in spite of the film not doing too well is still on the rise and now the Cinthol ad, which seems to be going down really well with audiences. “I couldn’t ask for a better culmination of my two years of gruelling work and pain. The applause is just an add-on,” he says.
Hrithik had been bogged down with knee injury. It almost threatened to prevent him from performing in the current popular track of Krazzy 4. “I was dancing after a long time and I loved the track from the start. Going by my knee injury the best thing would’ve been not to dance at all. But fortunately I found a solution to my knee problem. It’s all taken care of. Then, I finally did another version of the song, which was used in the film’s end-titles and also for promotional purposes on television.” The FX in the track has been done at Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies studio.
Asked if he improvises on all his dance moves, he quickly replies, “To some extent. But not majorly. I know nothing about choreography, but I take a step and take it where it feels right. Let’s not take away from the choreographers talent. I get a chance to innovate and let my feet take over from my mind. After choreographers show me my steps, I add my own bits to it and make it something entirely different.”

A rumour on the couple's break-up, a publicity stunt gone wrong, has upset Arbaaz's family which already has a child of controversy in Salman Khan."(Brother) Salman doesn't care what is written about him. I'm not that kind of guy. I'm very particular about the way I conduct myself, especially about my marriage. Suddenly, I find myself fighting a lonely battle to redeem my wife and my image," Arbaaz, who has been enjoying married life for the last 10 years, told IANS."In fact, my parents clearly said, 'If we knew you two were going to be part of such a gimmick, we'd have never allowed you.' I never thought I'd ever get into something that would turn so ugly," added Arbaaz.To compound the Khans' problems, Ponds, which conceived and implemented the campaign, has completely washed its hands off the matter."It's not just my name that's affected, it's my wife's name too, and that I won't tolerate," Arbaaz said angrily."My wife and I have been called publicity hounds and our little child has also been dragged into the matter when all we did was to go along with the multinational's campaign. Germany to ban cosmetic surgery for children

BERLIN - Deputies from Germany's ruling coalition called Wednesday for a ban on cosmetic surgery for children and adolescents, with some members also demanding a ban on tattoos and body piercings.
"Wishing for a breast job after finishing high school is no longer the exception," wrote the bill's 30 parliamentary co-sponsors.
Using industry data, Karl Lauterbach, health expert for the Social Democratic Party (SPD), estimated as many as 100,000 children and teenagers received cosmetic surgery annually.
"I believe that the beauty ideal, mostly for teenagers but also for children, has gone astray," Lauterbach, who studied medicine, said in an interview with broadcaster NDR.
Lauterbach and other sponsors of the bill have also said they are concerned about reports of small children receiving tattoos and body piercings, a position echoed by the Federation of Pediatricians (BVKJ).
"We see with great worry the growing number of procedures for children under 10 with all kinds of piercings and permanent tattoos," BVJK head Wolfram Hartmann said.
The German Society for Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery (DGAEPC) said however that the operations were often medically necessary and that lawmakers were using exaggerated figures that had "nothing to do with reality."
"If you (lawmakers) knew how thankful 14 to 16 year-old patients are after these procedures, that would put your worries in context," Joachim Graf von Finkenstein, head of DCAEPC, said.

Suicide blast in crowded Afghan bazaar

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - A suicide bomber blew himself up in a crowded bazaar in an Afghan town close to Pakistan on Wednesday and it was feared there were casualties, a senior border police officer told Reuters.
The bomber blew himself up after being chased by police in Spin Boldak in the southern province of Kandahar, officer Saifullah said.

Indian military plane sparks mid-air scare for PM

NEW DELHI - A small plane that appeared to tail an aircraft carrying the Indian premier sparking a national security scare belonged to the military, officials said Wednesday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Boeing-737 was ordered to circle over New Delhi for 15 minutes late Tuesday as a precaution after air controllers saw an unidentified blip on the radar.
"An equipment failure in a transponder installed in an Indian airforce Dornier caused the blip on the (radar) screens which seemed to be chasing the prime minister's plane," a senior airforce official told AFP.
In fact both planes were on their proper courses.
"There was no security breach," the official said a day after the airforce scrambled warplanes to escort Singh's aircraft down to safety. The prime minister was returning from a day-long trip to the eastern Indian city of Ranchi.
Singh's special plane only recently has been equipped with military radars and other anti-missile defence systems against possible attacks by anti-Indian rebels.

Pakistan drafts peace deal with militants

PESHAWAR - Pakistan's new government has drafted a peace agreement with Taliban militants in its troubled tribal belt bordering Afghanistan, officials and a rebel spokesman said Wednesday.
The government launched talks with the Islamist rebels soon after winning elections in February, amid concerns that the military-orientated tactics of President Pervez Musharraf were spawning more violence.
The aim is to transform a month-long lull in a wave of suicide bombings into a permanent peace with the rebels, who have fought the government since Islamabad joined the US-led "war on terror" in 2001.
"Work is in progress swiftly on a new peace agreement with the Taliban Movement of Pakistan," a senior security official told AFP, adding that "indirect negotiations" through tribal elders were ongoing.
"The draft agreement contains clauses under which both sides will not take armed action against each other. Military will be withdrawn from certain areas, attacks on security forces will be stopped by militants," the official said.
The chief spokesman for the country's umbrella militant group Tehreek-e-Taliban (Taliban Movement) Pakistan, Maulvi Omar, confirmed to AFP by telephone that "our negotiations with government are going on."
"There is significant positive development, we have accepted most of each others' demands. In next few days we hope that a positive outcome is achieved," Omar said.
More than 1,000 people have been killed in suicide bombings since the start of last year, including former premier Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated at an election rally in December.
The government blamed her killing on Al-Qaeda-linked tribal warlord Baitullah Mehsud.
Dawn, a respected English-language daily, said the draft 15-point peace agreement also involves the exchange of prisoners and said it had the backing of senior political and military figures.
Authorities freed a senior pro-Taliban Pakistani militant, Sufi Mohammad, earlier this week after his banned hardline group, Tahreek Nifaz-e-Shariat Mohammadi, pledged to renounce violence.
Taliban spokesman Omar said the agreement would apply to the semi-autonomous tribal areas bordering Afghanistan and other troubled nearby regions including the former tourist area of Swat, he said.
"If our demands are accepted, then we will end our armed struggle and stop attacks against security forces, Taliban will remain peaceful," said Omar.

US concerned about Pakistan-Taleban peace deal

WASHINGTON - The United States is concerned about a possible peace deal between Pakistan and Taliban fighters along the border with Afghanistan, the White House said Wednesday.
"We are concerned about it and what we encourage them to do is to continue to fight against the terrorists and to not disrupt any security or military operations that are ongoing in order to help prevent a safe haven for terrorists there," said White House spokeswoman Dana Perino.
She spoke as Pakistani officials and a spokesman for the Islamist militia confirmed that the new government in Islamabad has drafted a peace agreement with Taliban fighters along the border's troubled tribal belt.
"I don't know if we have an official announcement out of Pakistan yet so let me decline to comment on any specifics," Perino told reporters.
"But in general, yes, we have been concerned about these types of approaches because we don't think that they work," she said.

Iran insists all IAEA nuclear questions answered

TEHRAN - Iran has already answered all the UN atomic agency's questions over its nuclear programme, the foreign minister said on Wednesday, after the watchdog announced Tehran had agreed to respond to claims it was studying how to develop a nuclear weapon.
"In the past year there has been a friendly cooperation between Iran and the IAEA," Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said. "We have responded to all questions and ambiguities that the agency had.
"About the alleged studies -- within that period of cooperation we responded to the issues that they had pointed out and our responses were completely clear, legal and logical," he said at a news conference alongside Syrian counterpart Walid Muallem.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Wednesday that its deputy director general, Olli Heinonen, reached an agreement with Iran to examine allegations that Tehran has studied how to design nuclear weapons.
Heinonen had held closed-door talks with Iranian officials in Tehran Monday and Tuesday but no information filtered out on the contents of the discussions amid an apparent media blackout.
Mottaki insisted that Tehran's nuclear file was no longer a special case for the agency.
"From now, on Iran's cooperation with the agency is the dealing of a ordinary member state with the agency under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the IAEA's regulations.
"So we will have such trips and exchanges of views in the future," he added, in reference to Heinonen's visit.
In a closed-door briefing to diplomats at IAEA headquarters in Vienna on February 25, Heinonen had presented detailed evidence suggesting that Iran could have been studying how to use its nuclear technology to make a warhead.
Iran, which insists its nuclear programme is entirely peaceful and aimed solely at generating energy, at the time furiously denounced the claims as fake.

Economic, trade links to strengthen Pak-US relations: PM

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday emphasised on further expansion of economic and trade links with the United States to strengthen the long term strategic relations.He was talking to Ms Henrietta Fore, US Director of Foreign Assistance and USAID, here at the Prime Minister Secretariat this afternoon.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan desires to further expand its ties with US in other areas as well particularly in infrastructural development, science and technology and social sector.
He expressed confidence that US would be able to share its experiences and extend assistance in these fields.
The Prime Minister appreciated US interest in the development efforts in FATA. These efforts, he said would supplement the development endeavours being initiated by the Government of Pakistan in the area.
The Prime Minister said that the strategy of giving incentives and improving living standards in the bordering areas near Afghanistan had helped eradicate poppy cultivation and drug trafficking.
In order to counter the trends of extremism and violence in FATA, he said, the government is now preparing a three pronged strategy which include economic incentives, infrastructural development, political dialogue and administrative measures.
This does not mean that the government would make any compromise with terrorists and militants, he said.
The Prime Minister said that the presence of over two million Afghan Refugees in Pakistan is persistently causing socio-economic difficulties. Their repatriation and movement across the border is also hampering security measures, he added.
However, Pakistan is sharing this burden as a neighbouring country because “we desire to see peace and stability in Afghanistan,” the Prime Minister said.
He expressed confidence that the smaller Jirga being formed would facilitate in overcoming the difficulties and resolve issues for lasting peace in the region.
The Prime Minister said that the socio-cultural and economic life in areas bordering Afghanistan was greatly affected by the Afghan War.
The sudden withdrawal of international support after the withdrawal of Soviet forces introduced weapon and drug culture besides promoting trends of extremism, he added.
Pakistan, he said faced the situation with courage despite economic pressures but suffered a lot while confronting the situation.
On regional situation the Prime Minister said Pakistan wants to promote friendly relations with all its neighbours and the same was shared with the leaders of the neighbouring countries during his telephonic conversation with them when they rang to congratulate him on assuming the office.
While referring to domestic situation the Prime Minister said that Pakistan is presently facing a number of challenges, the major one being wheat and energy crises.
The law and order is yet another issue which the government has inherited and if not dealt at the earliest could affect the political and economic stability, he said and added the government is focused and determined to resolve all the issues.
In order to meet the challenge of food crises, he said, the government is preparing a package of incentives for the farmers so as to achieve self-sufficiency in basic food items including wheat.
As regards energy needs he said, not only the existing power projects are being upgraded, an energy conservation drive has been initiated.
In the same context efforts are being made to acquire rental power plants to meet the immediate needs, the Prime Minister added.
He said the law and order situation is likely to improve substantially after the formation of provincial governments. The three pronged strategy for areas bordering Afghanistan would hopefully produce positive results, he added.

Government to give priority to provision of basic facilities in rural Sindh: PM

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said that the government would give priority to infrastructure development and provision of basic health and education facilities in Sindh, particularly the rural areas to bring them at par with developed parts of the country.
He was talking to MNAs of the ruling coalition belonging to rural Sindh here at his Parliament House Chamber this evening.
The Prime Minister said the government has inherited a depleted economy because of the wrong policies of the previous government and reaffirmed the government’s commitment of taking both short term and long term measures for providing relief to the people.
He said the government is taking steps for increasing employment opportunities for the people, particularly in the underdeveloped areas.
He said the government would improve the working of Pakistan Baitul Maal and Zakat and Ushr departments for assisting in the alleviation of poverty.
The Prime Minister said he is holding a series of meetings with MNAs from all the provinces in order to get first hand information on the needs of different areas of the country.
He said that ban on inter-district movement of wheat and Atta has been lifted in order to improve the availability of Atta at reasonable price to the consumers.
The Prime Minister said an inter-provincial meeting would also be called soon to formulate a joint strategy for resolving the Atta crisis.
The MNAs apprised the Prime Minister of various matters relating to their constituencies including health and education facilities, lining of canals and water courses, provision of electricity, gas and clean drinking water and unemployment.
They thanked the Prime Minister for announcing Rs. 10 million for every MNA for meeting the immediate development needs of their respective areas.
They told him that the people of Sindh are appreciative of the government’s decision of increasing wheat support price.
The legislators also briefed the Prime Minister on the law and order situation in their areas particularly Interior Sindh and said that changes need to be made in the Local Government System and the Police Ordinance.
The Prime Minister said the system of policing all over the province would be improved so that common man can feel a sense of security.

Pakistan to further strengthen ties with Afghanistan: Gilani

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan have a deep rooted relationship based on shared history, culture, common faith and commonality of interest.Talking to Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan who called on him at the Prime Minister House, the Prime Minister said Pakistan wants to further strengthen these ties including efforts to enhance trade with Afghanistan for which there is a great potential.Terming terrorism as a serious threat to peace and prosperity of the world, the Prime Minister said that a multi-pronged strategy is required to curb this menace.
He said that the government would pursue both long term as well as short term initiatives which include political, economic and law enforcement measures to address the issue. He further said that the meeting of the small Jirga would soon be held so as to achieve objectives of lasting peace in the region.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan desires to further enhance cooperation and coordination with Afghanistan in the diplomatic, economic and security fields.
He said regular contact between the two countries will go a long way in improving and strengthening the multifaceted relationship between the two countries.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need to promote bilateral and joint efforts to leverage the true potential of the region and said that Pakistan can play a stabilizing role in this regard challenges. Pakistan, he said, has been moving towards promoting mutually beneficial economic linkages across the region.
The Prime Minister said that a sovereign, strong, stable and vibrant Afghanistan is also in Pakistan’s own interest. Therefore, Pakistan has been consistently supporting Afghanistan in its reconstruction efforts as well as to help achieve, peace, stability and prosperity.
“The events in Afghanistan have a spill over affect on Pakistan therefore we will continue our support for peace and reconstruction in Afghanistan in order to maintain regional stability,” the Prime Minister added.
The Prime Minister said the international community needs to do more to support Afghanistan in its reconstruction efforts and help them in eradicating poppy cultivation through crop substitution and employment generation.
He appealed to the international community to help in creating conducive environment to enable Afghan refugees for their early return to their homeland.
The Prime Minister said that the misperception about linking Islam with terrorism should be dispelled. Islam, he said is a religion of peace and propagates tolerance, interfaith harmony and compassion.
The world needs to work harder to create interfaith, inter-civilization and inter-cultural harmony among people belonging to different faiths to make the wold a harmonious and secure place to live, the Prime Minister added.
Spanta congratulated the Prime Minister on assuming his office. He said Afghanistan is equally keen to further improve relations with Pakistan. He said that regular contact between the two governments will help in strengthening relationship and improving understanding and further cementing relations between the two brotherly countries.
The Minister appreciated the cooperation extended by Pakistan in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. Elaborating the link between security situation and the development process the Afghan Foreign Minister said that Afghanistan is working hard to improve the security situation to expedite the reconstruction and development process in Afghanistan. He appreciated the assistance provided by Pakistan in this regard.
He further said that his government is keen to see progress on the proposed gas pipeline project between Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. he said Afghanistan is making an all ut effort to eradicate poppy cultivation and there is substantial improvement in this sector yet it would seek international support to sustain this progress. He also invited the Prime Minister to visit Afghanistan at his earliest convenience.

All MNAs to get Rs 10 million development fund

ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday announced Rs 10 million development funds for the ongoing fiscal year for all the members National Assembly irrespective of party affiliation.
Chairing a parliamentary party meeting of the ruling coalition at the Parliament House, the Prime Minister said his government wants to take along every member of the august house in the development of country, irrespective of party affiliation.
The Prime Minister referred to Tuesday’s decision of the ECC of lifting inter-district ban on wheat and said that soon a meeting would be convened to consider lifting inter-provincial movement of wheat and to stop smuggling of atta.
He said the government was working to frame a comprehensive food and agriculture policy, to be announced shortly, which would give incentives on fertilizers and tractors. He said the cabinet has already held three while ECC two meetings to discuss these issues.
The parliamentary meeting also thoroughly discussed the current electricity shortage in the country and the Prime Minister stressed for short term and long term measures to curb the power and energy shortage in the country.
He said new power generation plants are being set up in the country, but said for addressing the problem on urgent basis short term measures like conservation and switching to energy saver bulbs was also important.
The Prime Minister informed the meeting that government was working on a comprehensive energy policy, in which all the energy and power issues will be addressed.
He said the present government inherited a bad economy due to non-prudent policies of the previous government, but vowed to come upto expectations of the people and take the country out of the present economic crunch.
He said the people of Pakistan have given the ruling coalition an overwhelming mandate and the government is firm to confront these issues on war footing.
Prime Minister Gilani said they have great respect for the mandate of the people in favour of democratic and moderate forces and reiterated that 1973 constitution would be restored in its true spirit.
He said his government was committed to make institutions stronger and ensure rule of law and supremacy of parliament.
Independence of judiciary, free and vibrant media will also be ensured, the Prime Minister added.
Every institution in the country, he said, will work according to its role which is enshrined in the 1973 constitution.
The members informed the prime minister about various issues pertaining to their constituencies.

PM directs for preparation of energy policy

ISLAMABAD : The Federal Cabinet was informed on Wednesday that in three years time there will be no load-shedding in the country. While briefing journalists in after the Cabinet meeting here, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ms Sherry Rehman said that “ Prime Minister directed Minister for Water and Power that the energy policy should be prepared keeping in view the situation on ground and submit the same to the Cabinet Urgently for approval.”
She said the Prime Minister advised that “steps be taken on war footing for the implementation of the energy policy.” The challenge of energy shortage, he said, requires a fast track approach to minimize the problems of the people. The water & Power Minister said that since the government took oath, 310 MW had already been brought into the system.
Secretary Water & Power in his briefing on energy shortage apprised the Cabinet that gap in demand and supply is increasing with the approaching summer. The minister said the Cabinet was informed that at present the country is short of about 33 per cent electricity of the total need.
This means that 8 hours load-shedding has to be distributed rationally between the industrial and domestic consumers. 7000 MW exist in the system and 5000 MW were set-up by our previous PPP government under Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed,she added.
Minister for Water & Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf specified that Prime Minister’s 100 days programme is only focused on efforts to enhance the capacity of existing power projects and secondly on conservation of electricity. One target in this context is supply of energy saver bulb up to 1 million bulbs which is progressing well.
The Minister for Water & Power further informed the Cabinet that
another major issue with regard to electricity shortage is line losses and theft.He asked for strict measures to check electricity theft and also up-gradation of the equipment to reduce line losses.
She said that on national political issues, particularly the restoration and independence of the Judiciary, a six-member committee plus the law minister as ex-officio member has been formed.
The PPP will be represented by the Leader of the House in Senate, Mian Raza Rabani, Information Minister, Sherry Rehman and Interior Advisor, Rehman Malik. Senior Minister, Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar and Minister-for Petroleum & Natural Resources Khawaja Asif will represent the PML (N).
The committee will hold meetings with members of the legal fraternity to enhance transparency and consensus to the process and will move to implement the Bhurban Resolution as committed by the party leaders, Senator Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, she told the media.
She said that the Cabinet was informed the government has managed to form consensus among coalition provincial governments in all four provinces and the centre which is a great and unprecedented achievement.
“Dialogue is ongoing with various political parties as a regular process for building consensus on national and provincial issues. For healing Balochistan’s grievances, an APC has been called. For bridging old political divides in Sindh, dialogue between the MQM and PPP is ongoing”, she said.
In his opening remarks, the Prime Minister said that Cabinet meeting was to deliberate on the 100-day action plan.
Referring to the sad incidents in Lahore and Karachi, the Prime Minister
said that despite our condemnation of the incidents of manhandling of Dr. Arbab
Ghulam Rahim and Dr. Sher Afghan, widespread violence in Karachi was
unleashed.She said that the PM warned that the new democratic government will not
tolerate any conspiracy to destabilize democracy through violence.
He said that adoption of unanimous resolutions by the National and Provincial Assemblies to approach the United Nations for constituting “Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Commission” to probe the national tragedy which resulted in precious loss of our beloved leader.
Sherry Rehman said that Prime Minister told the Cabinet that completion of the federal and provincial governments and the President’s recent visit to China as also the Beijing Olympic Torch Relay passing through Pakistan were some other important developments.
The Prime Minister said that during the President’s visit
to China, MOUs to extend cooperation in managing water resources
and hydel power; on cooperation in sports and culture; and
for cooperation in the area of Engineering, Sciences and
Technology were signed. A consortium of Chinese Universities
will help set up a Modem International University in Islamabad,
The Prime Minister welcomed the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch relay on its journey of harmony in a befitting manner. We shared Beijing’s enormous pride as the host of the Olympic Games.
The Prime Minister said that he will visit each and every department himself for a briefing. He said that the food security is an important issue which needs focused approach.
To increase agriculture produce particularly the wheat, the Prime
Minister said, there is a dire need to improve wheat production, procurement,
distribution, Input from all stakeholders is essential to achieve this objective.The Prime Minister also emphasized that while devising strategy to enhance agricultural produce specially wheat and edible oil, more land has to be brought under cultivation as proper land usage and additional land for cultivation could ensure self sufficiency as per our population’s need as well - as development of agro-based industry in the country.
The minister said that Secretary MINFAL in his presentation briefed the Cabinet of the wheat situation and progress on initiatives undertaken in accordance with the 100-day program announced by the Prime Minister. She said that the Cabinet was told that before this, not even a single kilogram of wheat was procured in Sindh.
The Cabinet tasked the Secretaries Committee already established under
the Finance Minister to take up the issue of wheat procurement, supply and import
and to consult all the stakeholders and suggest measures to be incorporated in the short and medium term. Procurement target was set at five million tons.
The Cabinet approved negotiation process on the MOU with South Africa for cooperation in combating illicit trafficking of narcotics, psychotropic substances and precursor chemicals.
The Cabinet also approved in principle to initiate negotiations on the
agreement between Pakistan and Cuba on the establishment of Pakistan-Cuba Joint
Economic Commission to enhance greater bilateral economic cooperation between the
two countries and provide a good platform to promote cooperation between the two countries in the fields of industry, food and agriculture, higher education, science and technology and other fields of mutual interest.
The Cabinet also offered Fateha for the deceased father of Rana Tanvir Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production.

Afghan Foreign Minister calls on President Musharraf

ISLAMABAD : President Pervez Musharraf Wednesday assured that Pakistan would continue its help and support for the reconstruction and development of Afghanistan.
He was talking to Afghan Foreign Minister Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta who called on him.
President Musharraf said stable and strong Afghanistan is in Pakistan’s interest.
The President reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to intensify cooperation and coordination between the two countries in countering terrorism and extremism.
He also emphasized the need for further strengthening of economic ties and boosting bilateral trade in order to realize its full potential.
The Afghan Foreign Minister also discussed the common threat of terrorism and extremism, bilateral cooperation and regional and global issues of mutual interest with the President.
Dr. Rangin Dadfar also conveyed the felicitation of the leadership of Afghanistan to the people and Government of Pakistan on the transparent and successful democratic elections in Pakistan.
Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta was on the two-day (April 22-23) official visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Foreign Minister Makhdoon Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
During his stay, the Afghan Foreign Minister besides holding talks with his counterpart paid courtesy calls on Prime Minister and Speaker of the National Assembly.
The Afghan Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation to the President Musharraf for the continuous assistance extended by Pakistan in the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in Afghanistan, especially US $ 300 million economic assistance and the latest offer of 1,000 educational scholarships to Afghanistan.

Accountability to be transparent through Parliamentary Committees: Sherry

ISLAMABAD : Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ms Sherry Rehman said on Wednesday that the government does not believe in witch hunt of its opponents and accountability process would be carried out through Parliamentary committees in a transparent manner.
She was replying to queries of the media persons during briefing after cabinet meeting here.
She said that the government would make arrangements for live coverage of National Assembly, Senate committees meetings or telecast of their recording.
Sherry Rehman said that committee on the restoration of the Deposed judges has been formed not to gain time but to expedite the process.
About a question about NFC Award she said that the federal government would hold consultations with the provincial governments to reconstitute it.
Replying to a question about unemployment in the country, she said that Labour Ministry in the next Cabinet meeting would give a presentation on 100-day plan. She further said that in 32 poverty-stricken districts of the country at least one person of each poor family would be provided job.
To a query Sherry Rehman said that a memorial would be built at the site of assassination of Shaheed PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
Answering a question about Health Ministry Sherry Rehman said that she would hold a separate briefing on matters related to the Health Ministry. She lamented that during last nine years there was neither national health policy in the country nor there were any funds for health sector.
She said that prices of petroleum products were discussed in every cabinet meeting as rising prices of crude oil in the international market affects almost all sectors of the economy.
She said that previous government did not do any planning to provide relief to the common man. “We are a democratic government and are answerable to the masses, so we would take all possible steps to provide relief to the general public”, she added.

Pak appreciates continued economic assistance of Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan holds Saudi Arabia in high esteem and we greatly appreciate the continued economic assistance extended to Pakistan.
This was stated by Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs and Statistics in a meeting with Ali S. Awadh Asseri, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia here in this afternoon.
Asseri assured Saudi Government’s full cooperation for the democratic government. He said Saudi Arabia wants to see stable, strong, prosperous and democratic Pakistan and would continue to enhance its cooperation at bilateral and multilateral level to promote brotherhood between the peoples of the two countries.
Senator Ishaq Dar appreciated one time Saudi oil facility of US $ 300 million to offset the impact of oil import bill due to the increase in international oil prices.
He added that Pakistan also appreciated Saudi pledge of US $ 573 million as assistance for earthquake.
Out of this amount US $ 133 million was grant for the development projects in earthquake affected areas.
The disbursement of grant is expected to start shortly. Apart from that the Saudi Government pledged a soft loan of US $ 187 million.
Out of which US $ 40 million have been allocated for the Golan Goal Hydro Power Project.
The remaining amount of US $ 147 million would be utilized for development projects in Balakot and Rawalakot cities to offset impact of earthquake.
The two sides expressed satisfaction over export credit facility of US $ 133 million. Under this facility, Pakistan ‘s imports urea fertilizer from Saudi Arabia .
In addition to that Saudi Government also offered a US $ 120 million relief assistance carried out through non-governmental relief agencies of Saudi Arabia .
Similarly, the assistance of establishment of Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) for providing concessional loans for infrastructure projects in social sector such as health, education and water supply in rural areas were also appreciated.
Under this facility Saudi Arabia has agreed to finance over ten projects amounting to US $ 473 million.
Out of this, projects worth US $ 286 million are on going project. The remaining projects are in the pipeline.
The major projects being financed under this facility include, Makran Coastal Highway , reconstruction of AJK University , Government hospitals, educational institutions and hospitals in AJK and NWFP.
The two sides also emphasized the role of private sector and their regular interaction through investment conferences and exchange of trade delegations to accelerate promotion of bilateral trade between the two countries and also to increase Saudi investment in Pakistan

القاعدہ سے متعلق گزشتہ دو کالموں 8اپریل منگل کو ”القاعدہ ہے تو شاتمین رسول کیوں زندہ ہیں“ اور10اپریل جمعرات کو”القاعدہ ....بیسویں صدی کی سب سے بڑی ایجاد“ پر بعض قارئین نے سوال اٹھایا ہے کہ حضوراکرم سے متعلق خاکوں اورفلم کے مسئلے پر اسلامی حکومتوں، اسلامی کانفرنس، اسلامی ممالک کی مذہبی جماعتوں، وغیرہ کو چھوڑ کر Èپ نے القاعدہ کا ذکر ہی کیوں چھیڑا؟ان قارئین کی خدمت میں عرض ہے کہ اسلامی حکومتوں، او Èئی سی اور مذہبی جماعتوں کے بس میں جس حد تک ہے وہ کر رہی ہیں۔ اسلامی حکومتیں گستاخ سفیروں کو طلب کر کے احتجاج کر رہی ہیں۔ او Èئی سی قراردادیں پاس کر رہی ہے اور جماعتیں مظاہرے کر رہی ہیں۔ اس کے علاوہ یہ کچھ کر ہی نہیں سکتیں جبکہ اس مسئلے پر اگر باقاعدہ اعلان جنگ بھی کر دیا جائے تو وہ بھی کم ہے جب تک تمام گستاخوں کے سر دھڑ سے الگ نہ کر دیئے جائیں، رسول عربی کی امت ہونے کاحق ادا ہو نہیں سکتا۔ ضرورت اس امر کی ہے کہ سب سے پہلے ہم ان گستاخیوں کے اصل مقاصد تک پہنچیں کہ Èخر یہ بد بخت چاہتے کیا ہیں؟ ایک عام رائے یہ ہے کہ یہ ظالم لوگ مسلمانوں کی مذہبی غیرت چیک کرنے کیلئے اس قسم کی حرکات کرتے رہتے ہیں۔ یہ بات درست ہے مجھے بھی اس سے اتفاق ہے مگر اسے مختلف زاویے سے دیکھتا ہوں۔گزشتہ کالم میں لکھا تھا کہ افغانستان میں79ءسے لے کر2001ءتک اسلامی فلاحی تنظیمیں ریلیف اور بحالی کے کام میں مصروف رہیں اور ان کی مجاہدین کے ساتھ مکمل کوÈرڈینیشن تھی جن میں مقامی مجاہدین کے علاوہ عرب ممالک سے Èئے ہوئے مجاہد بھی شامل تھے۔ سوویت یونین کی افغانستان میں موجودگی تک تو سب رضاکار اور مجاہدین امریکہ اور اس کے حواری مغربی و اسلامی ممالک کے دوست تھے، چونکہ امریکہ اور یورپ کیلئے یہ لوگ اہم تھے اس لئے وہ تمام اسلامی ممالک جہاں جہاں سے یہ لوگ افغانستان گئے تھے ان کو اپنا شہری مانتے رہے بلکہ ان پر اپنے دعوے کرتے رہے تاکہ امریکہ و یورپ کے سامنے نمبر ٹانک سکیں اور جتنے ڈالر نکل سکیں نکلوا لیںمگر انہی مسلم ممالک نے اس وقت انہیں اپنا شہری تسلیم کرنے سے انکار کر دیا جب امریکہ و یورپ کا الو سیدھا ہو گیا اور اس نے مجاہدین کو دہشتگرد اور امدادی کارکنوں کو ان کے ساتھی قرار دے کر دشمنوں کی فہرست میں شامل کر کے ان پر ”القاعدہ“ کا ٹھپہ لگا دیا۔ مجاہدین اور رضاکاروں کے بڑوں کو اس کا پہلے سے احساس ہو چکاتھا لہٰذا وہ بھی اپنی پیش بندی کر چکے تھے۔ سوویت یونین کے انخلاءسے قبل ہی عرب ممالک سے Èئے ہوئے مجاہدین اور رضاکاروں کی اکثریت کو یورپ سے Èسٹریلیا تک مختلف ممالک میں Èباد کرنے پر کام شروع کر دیا گیا تھا ۔ ان ممالک کے سفیروں سے ملاقاتیں کر کے انہیں قائل کیا گیا کہ ان لوگوں کو اپنے ہاں پناہ دیں جنہوں نے اپنی جانوں پر کھیل کر دنیا کو سوویت غلبے سے بچالیا، ان میں بڑی تعداد شہید ہو جانے والے مجاہدین اور رضاکاروں کے بچوں کی بھی تھی، ان میں افغان بھی تھے اور عرب بھی، یہ لوگ جرمنی، برطانیہ،ڈنمارک، ہالینڈ، Èسٹریلیا سمیت مختلف ممالک میں Èباد کئے گئے مگر اس سے پہلے ان سے قسم لے لی گئی تھی کہ جب اللہ کے دین کی خاطر ضرورت پڑی جب انہیں Èواز دی گئی تو وہ بلا پس و پیش ”لبیک“ کہیں گے۔ لبیک اللھمہ لبیک، اور اس میں ان کی جان رکاوٹ بنے گی نہ مال اور نہ اہل و عیال، وہ اپنا سب کچھ اللہ کے دین کی خاطر قربان کرنے کیلئے تیار ہوں گے۔ یہ لوگ فرانس میں بھی ہیں، سپین میں بھی، ناروے میں بھی اور کچھ عجب نہیں کہ وہاں سے Èگے امریکہ تک بھی پہنچ گئے ہوں، اب اس بات کو ڈیڑھ دو دہائیوں کا طویل عرصہ گزر چکا ہے، یہ لوگ ان ممالک میں گھل مل چکے ہیں۔ جو کنوارے تھے انہوں نے شادیاں کر لیں اور جہاد کیلئے نکلنے والے تو اکثر ایسے ہی ہوتے ہیں۔ وہاں ان کے بچے ہو چکے ہیں، ان کی الگ شناخت اب تقریباً ناممکن ہو چکی ہے اور یہی ان ممالک کیلئے پریشانی کا باعث بنی ہوئی ہے۔ یہ لوگ ملک ملک پھیل چکے ہیں، اب ان کو کیسے شناخت کیا جائے؟کیسے پہچان کر الگ (Single Out)کیا جائے؟اس کیلئے ان ممالک نے وہ سازش تیار کی جس پر Èج پورا عالم اسلام سراپا احتجاج بنا ہوا ہے۔ ان گستاخیوں کا مقصد عالم اسلام کو چیلنج کرنا بھی ہو سکتا ہے مگر دراصل یہ بد بخت اپنے ہاں موجود افغان دور کے مجاہدین کو مشتعل کر کے سامنے Èنے پر مجبور کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔ یہ خاکے اور فلمیں انہی ممالک میں سامنے È رہی ہیں، ڈنمارک، ہالینڈ، جرمنی، ناروے وغیرہ، منصوبہ یہ ہے کہ ایسی حرکات کرو جس سے مسلمانوں کے جذبات مجروح ہوں اور ان میں سے جو جو احتجاج کرتا باہر نکل Èئے اس کو نظر میں رکھ لو، Pin Pointکر لو اور نگرانی شروع کر دو کیونکہ انہی میں وہ لوگ بھی ہو سکتے ہیں جو افغانستان سے È کر یہاں Èباد ہوئے کیونکہ یہ انسان نہیں بلکہ ریموٹ کنٹرول بم ہیں جن کے بٹن جہاد کی قسم لینے والوں کے ہاتھ میں ہیں جو کسی بھی وقت دب سکتے ہیں اور جو کسی بھی وقت پھٹ سکتے ہیں۔ یہاں یہ امر قابل ذکر ہے کہ مغربی ممالک میں سیٹل کرانے والوں نے کسی پاکستانی کو اس قابل نہیں سمجھا حالانکہ مجاہدین کی اکثریت فاٹا، صوبہ سرحد، بلوچستان اور جنوبی پنجاب کے علاقوں سے افغانستان گئی تھی۔ یہ لوگ شہید ہوگئے یا معذور ہوکر واپس Èگئے۔ ان غازیوں کی بڑی تعداد شمالی اتحادیوں اور امریکہ نے گرفتار کرلی۔ بعض رقص بسمل کی نذر ہوگئے اور بعض بگرام سے ہوتے ہوئے گوانتاناموبے پہنچ گئے جو گھسٹ گھسٹ کر وطن پہنچے انہیں حکومت پاکستان نے اٹھا کر سی Èئی اے کو فروخت کردیا اس طرح پاکستانی مجاہدین اور رضاکاروں کو ہرطرف سے مشکلات کا سامنا کرنا پڑا۔ ان کیلئے زمین تنگ سے تنگ ہوتی چلی گئی مگر الحمد اللہ خاکوں کے مسئلے پر سب سے زیادہ ملی حمیت وغیرت کا مظاہرہ انہی کی طرف سے سامنے Èرہا ہے۔ یورپ میں ہونے والے مظاہروں اور احتجاجی جلسے جلوسوں میں اکثریت پاکستانیوں ہی کی ہوتی ہے۔ ابھی تک غازی علم دین کے نقش قدم پر چل کر جان قربان کرنے کی سعادت بھی صرف ایک مسلمان کے حصے میں Èئی ہے جو پاکستانی ہے۔ شہید عامر چیمہ باقی کسی افغان یا عرب مجاہد کے حصے میں یہ مقام نہیں Èسکا۔ جن ریموٹ کنٹرول بموں کی بات ہورہی تھی وہ ابھی تک نہ پکڑے جاسکے ہیں نہ پھوڑے جاسکے ہیں مگر ٹھہریے! اس کا مطلب ہرگز یہ نہیں کہ ان کے متعلق ہم ابھی سے کوئی رائے قائم کرلیں۔ یہ بھی تو ہوسکتا ہے کہ وہ کسی اور تیاری میں مصروف ہوں اور کسی صبح جب ہماری Èنکھ کھلے تو یہ دنیا ایک بار پھر تبدیل ہوچکی ہو۔ v

افغانستان کے ساتھ سفارتی ، اقتصادی اور سیکیورٹی کے شعبوں میں تعاون چاہتے ہیں ۔وزیر اعظم یوسف رضاگیلانی

اسلام آباد ۔ وزیر اعظم سید یوسف رضا گیلانی نے کہاہے کہ پاکستان اور افغانستان کے درمیان گہرے تعلقات ہیں جو مشترکہ تاریخ ثقافت اور مفادات پر مبنی ہیں۔ آج بدھ کو یہاں افغان وزیر خارجہ رنگین داد فرسپاشا سے باتیں کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے کہاکہ پاکستان ان تعلقات کو اور مستحکم دیکھنا چاہتا ہے اور افغانستان کے ساتھ تجارت کو فروغ دینا چاہتا ہے جس کے وسیع امکانات موجود ہیں ء دہشت گردی کو دنیا کے امن و خوشحالی کے لیے سنگین خطرہ قرار دیتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ اس کے خاتمے کے لیے ہمہ جہت پالیسی کی ضرورت ہے۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ حکومت اس مسئلے سے نمٹنے کے لیے طویل اور مختصر مدت کے اقدامات کرے گی جن میں سیاسی اقتصادی اور سیکیورٹی اقدامات شامل ہیں ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ جلد ہی ایک چھوٹاجرگہ ہو گا تاکہ خطے میں پائیدار امن قائم کیا جا سکے ۔ سید یوسف رضا گیلانی نے کہاکہ پاکستان افغانستان کے ساتھ سفارتی اقتصادی اور سیکیورٹی کے شعبوں میں تعاون اور اشتراک بڑھانا چاہتاہے ۔دونوں ممالک کی مشترکہ تہذیب و ثقافت مذہبی اقدار تاریخ ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ افغانستان میں تعمیر و ترقی اور استحکام خطے اورپاکستان کے مفاد میں ہے ۔ مختلف شعبوں میں افغان وزیر خارجہ نے افغانستان کی تعمیر ترقی میں پاکستان کی خصوصی معاونت پر وزیر اعظم کا شکریہ ادا کیا ۔انہوں نے کہاکہ دونوں ملکوں کے درمیان کثیر الجہتی تعلقات کو فروغ دینے کے لے مسلسل رابطے ضروری ہیں ۔ افغان وزیر خارجہ نے وزیر اعظم کو عہدہ سنبھالنے پر مبارکباد باد دی ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ ان کا ملک بھی پاکستان کے ساتھ تعلقات کو فروغ دینا چاہتا ہے۔

اسلام آباد۔ پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی نے بلوچستان کے احساس محرومی کے خاتمے کے لئے صوبہ کے لئے خصوصی ترقیاتی پیکج کا فیصلہ کیا ہے ۔ صوبے کے آئینی حقوق اور قوم پرست جماعتوں سے رابطوں کے لئے دو الگ کمیٹاں قائم کردی گئیں ہیں ۔ پی پی پی نے کہا ہے کہ بیرونی پوشیدہ ہاتھ صوبے میں حالات کی خرابی میں ملوث ہے ۔ حالات بگاڑنے کے لئے غیر ملکی فنڈز استعمال ہو رہے ہیں ۔ عوام کے تعاون سے بیرونی قوتوں کی ان سازشوں کو ناکام بنائیں گے ۔ ان خیالات کا اظہار پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی بلوچستان کے صدر لشکری رئیسانی اور پی پی کے رہنما نبیل گبول نے بلوچستان کے بارے میں پارٹی کی مفاہمتی کمیٹی کے اجلاس کے بعد میڈیا سے بات چیت کر تے ہوئے کیا ۔ مفاہمتی کمیٹی کا اجلاس بدھ کو زرداری ہاؤس اسلام آباد میں پی پی پی کے شریک چیئر پرسن آصف علی زرداری کی صورت میں منعقد ہوا ۔ اجلاس میں سینیٹر رضا ربانی ، سینیٹر بابر اعوان ، مشیر داخلہ رحمان ملک ، اعجاز جھکرانی ، نبیل گبول ، لشکری رئیسانی نے شرکت کی ۔ اجلاس 3گھنٹوں تک جاری رہا جس میں صوبائی خود مختیاری ، بلوچستان کے سیاسی مسائل ، امن و امان کی صورت حال ، سیاسی قیدیوں پر قائم مقدمات اور دیگر امور زیر غور آئے ۔ اجلاس کو بتایا گیا کہ سیاسی قیدیوں کی رہائی کے اعلان سے 400رہنماؤں کو فائدہ حاصل ہو گا ۔ اجلاس میں بلوچستان کے بارے میں اے پی سی کے شیڈول کے بارے میں غور کیا گیا تاہم اس سے قبل گوادر اور کوئٹہ میں کانفرنسوں کے انعقاد بعد ازاں اسلام آباد میں کانفرنس منعقد کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ۔ اجلاس کے بعد میڈیا سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے نبیل گبول نے کہا کہ آل پارٹیز کانفرنس ہو گی ۔اجلاس میں صورت حال کا جائزہ لیا گیا اور تفصیل سے بلوچستان کے امور کے بارے میں تبادلہ خیال ہوا ، بلوچستان میں احساس محرومی کے خاتمے کے لئے خصوصی پیکج تشکیل دینے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے خصوصی پلان پر کام شروع ہو گیا ہے ۔ صوبے کے عوام کی بے چینی اور اضطراب کے خاتمے کے لئے اقدامات کریں گے طے پایا کچھ دنوں کے بعد بلوچستان کے عمائدین اور صوبائی رہنماؤں کے ساتھ اجلاس ہو گا ۔ صوبائی معاملات کا جائزہ لیا جائے گا ۔ اے پی سی کے شرکاء کے بارے میں مشاورت ہو گی یہ کانفرنس اسلام آباد میں ہو گی ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ بلوچستان کے قوم پرست رہنماؤں کو مدعو کیا جائے گا جو اسلام آباد آ کر میڈیا کو بتائیں گے کہ بلوچستان کے پہاڑوں میں کیا ہو رہا ہے ۔ خصوصی پیکج میں بلوچستان کے عوام کو سہولتیں مراعات ، ملازمتیں دینے ، گیس کے حوالے سے حقوق دینے ۔ گودار میں مقامی آبادی کی ترقی سے متعلق امور شامل ہیں ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ صوبے کے حلاتا کو بگاڑنے کے لئے فنڈز دشمن ممالک سے آرہے ہیں جو بلوچستان میں حالات بگاڑنے کے لئے استعمال کیے جارہے ہیں ۔ بلوچستان کے عوام پیپلز پارٹی کی جانب دیکھ رہے ہیں ۔ مفاہمتی کمیٹی کے اجلاس میں بلوچستان کی چھاؤنیوں کے بارے میں کوئی بات نہیں ہوئی۔ملازمتوں میں مقامی افراد کو ترجیح دی جائے گی عوام اس حوالے سے عدم تحفظ کا شکار اور ناراض ہی کہ باہر سے آنے والے لوگ فائدہ اٹھاتے ہیں یہاں تک کے بلوچستان میں مزدور بھی باہر سے لائے جاتے ہیں انہو ںنے کہا کہ بلوچستان کے حالات بہت خراب ہیں لشکری رئیسانی نے کہا ہے کہ آئینی پیکچ اور رابطوں کے حوالے سے کمیٹی کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے جو سیاسی جماعتوں کا رکنوں دانشوروں اور عمائدین سے ملاقات کرے گی مشاورت کی جائے گی انہو ںنے کہا کہ سیاسی فیصلے کو سیاستدان کو حل کر سکتے ہیں طاقت کے ساتھ مسائل حل نہیں ہوئے تھے صوبے کے عوام آئینی حقوق سے محروم ہیں صوبے کی تمام قوتوں کو ایک جگہ بٹھائیں گے ان کی مشاورت سے مسائل حل کیے جائیں گے انہو ںنے کہا کہ بلوچستان میں نہتے شہریوں کے قتل کی مذمت کرتے ہیں بی ایل اے کہاں ہیں کون ان معاملات میں ملوث ہے کیا ثابت ہوا یہ بھی معلوم نہیں ہو سکا کہ بی ایل اے کا وجود بھی ہے انہو ںنے بلوچستان کے پروائس چانسلر کے قتل کی مذمت کی۔انہوں نے کہا کہ بلوچستان خطے کا اہم ترین علاقہ ہے بیرونی قوتوں کی سازشوں کو ناکام بنائیں گے اس کے لئے مل کر صوبے کو آئینی معاشی حقوق دئیے جائیں ہم صوبے کے معاملات کے حوالے سے آگے بڑھتے ہیں کوئی نہ کوئی واقعہ ہو جاتا ہے بیرونی پوشیدہ ساتھ نہیں چاہتا کہ صوبے میں حالات ٹھیک ہوں گوادر کے بارے میں کانفرنس ہو گی کوئٹہ میں بھی اجلاس ہو گا کمیٹی شرکت کرے گی آخری کانفرنس اسلام آباد میں ہو گی

سرحد کابینہ میں توسیع، مزید ٥ وزراء نے حلف اٹھالیا

پشاور۔ سر حد کابینہ کے پانچ نئے وزراء نے حلف اٹھالیا۔ وزیر اعلیٰ سرحد حیدر خان ہوتی کا کہنا ہے کہ کابینہ میں مزید توسیع نہیں ہوگی۔ حلف برداری کی تقریب گورنر ہاؤس میں ہوئی۔ گورنر سرحد اویس غنی نے نئے وزراء سے حلف لیا۔ حلف اٹھانے والوں میں پی پی شیرپاؤ کے پارلیمانی لیڈر پرویز خٹک، آزاد رکن حبیب الرحمن تنولی اور اے این پی کے تین وزراء قاضی اسد ، امجد آفریدی اور ہدایت اللہ شامل ہیں۔وزیر اعلیٰ سرحد حیدر خان ہوتی نے حلف برداری کے بعد میڈیا سے بات چیت میں کہا کہ کالا باغ ڈیم متنازع مسئلہ ہے اس پر مزید بات چیت نہیں ہوسکتی ۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ تحریک نفاذ شریعت محمد ی نے مولانا صوفی محمد کی رہائی کی درخواست دی تھی جس پر انہیں رہا کر دیا گیا۔حکومت کو کسی دوسرے فرد کی رہائی کی درخواست ملی ہے او ر نہ ہی کسی کو رہا کیا جارہا ہے۔ وزیر اعلیٰ سرحد نے کہا کہ امن معاہدے سے مالا کنڈ ڈویڑن میں قیام امن میں مدد ملے گی۔ حکومت کا تحریک نفاذ شریعت محمدی کے علاوہ کسی اور وعسکرت پسند گروپ سے براہ راست رابطہ نہیں ہے۔ البتہ قیام امن کیلئے بلواسطہ رابطے ضرور ہیں اور اس سلسلے میں جلد گرینڈ جرگہ بنایا جائے گا۔ حید ر خان ہوتی نے کہا کہ سرحد کابینہ میں توسیع نہیں کی جائے گی۔

پانی بھی پینا اب جرم ٹھرا ۔۔(واسا) نے صارفین کی تیئس مختلف کیٹگریز کیلئے پانی اور سیوریج کے بلوں میں سات گنا تک اضافہ کر دیا

راولپنڈی ۔ واٹر اینڈ سینی ٹیشن ایجنسی (واسا) نے صارفین کی تیئس مختلف کیٹگریز کیلئے پانی اور سیوریج کے بلوں میں سات گنا تک اضافہ کر دیا ہے واسا کے واٹر اینڈ سیوریج ٹیرف میں یہ اضافہ ترقیاتی ادارہ جات کی مانیٹرنگ کیلئے قائم ضلعی حکومت کی خصوصی مانیرٹنگ کمیٹی کی منظوری کے بعد کیاگیا واسا نے مختلف شعبوں کے تیئس صارفین کیلئے اپنے ٹیرف میں اضافے کی سمری ضلعی حکومت کو بھجوائی تھی جسے جانچ پڑتال کیلئے متعلقہ مانیٹرنگ کمیٹی کو بھجوایا گیاتھا تاہم کمیٹی کی طرف سے حتمی منظوری کے بعد یہ فیصلہ نافذ العمل ہو گا اس فیصلے کے تحت پانچ سو روپے سے زائد ماہانہ فیس وصول کرنے والے پرائیویٹ پرائمری سکولوں سے بل کی مد میں 283روپے کے بجائے 1500روپے اور میٹرنگ تک تعلیم دینے والے پرائیویٹ سکولوں سے 424 روپے کے بجائے تین ہزار روپے پرائیویٹ کالجوں اور یونیورسٹیوں 706 روپے کے بجائے تین ہزار روپے بل وصول کیاجائے گا جبکہ کسی بھی مرض کے سپیشلسٹ ڈاکٹروں کے ذاتی کلینک کیلئے بھی پانی کے واجات 848 روپے سے بڑھا کر 1500 روپے مریضوں سے 100روپے سے زائد مشورہ فیس لینے والے پرائیویٹ کلینکس اور نرسنگ ہومز اور میڈیکل لیبارٹریوں کے 848روپے سے بڑھا کر ایک ہزار روپے کر دی گئی ہے اسی طرح دس کمروں تک کے ہاسٹل کے لئے بلوں کی شرح 706روپے سے بڑھا کر ایک ہزار دس کمروں سے زائد کے ہاسٹل کا ٹیرف 1413 روپے سے بڑھا کر 1500 روپے کھانا پکوائی اور کیٹرنگ کی دکانو ںکیلئے 353روپے سے بڑھا کر 750روپے کا ٹیرف مقرر کیاگیا ہے لانڈری اور ڈرائی کلین کی بڑی دکانوں کیلئے 700روپے ٹیرف میں اضافہ کر کے 2000 روپے کر دیاگیا ہے چھوٹی صنعتوں کیلئے 353 روپے کی جگہ 500 روپے ماہانہ کی نئی شرح مقرر کی گئی ہے مردانہ پارلرز اور دکانوں میں قائم بیوٹی پارلرز کیلئے 706 روپے کی جگہ ایک ہزار روپے کا نیا ٹیرف مقرر کیاگیا ہے بیکریوں مٹھائی کی دکانوں کیلئے 848روپے سے بڑھا کر 1500روپے ملوں کیلئے 1130 سے بڑھا کر 1500روپے ایئرکنڈیشنڈ ریستوران کیلئے 1695روپے سے بڑھا کر تین ہزار روپے چھوٹے ہوٹلوں اور ریفرشمنٹ سینٹرز کیلئے 424 روپے سے بڑھا کر 600روپے ایئر کنڈیشنڈ شادی ہالوں کیلئے 1413 روپے سے بڑھا کر 3ہزار روپے اور بغیر ایئر کنڈیشنڈ شادی ہالوں کیلئے 1413 سے بڑھا کر2000ہزار روپے مقرر کی گئی ہے بینکوں کیلئے 848روپے سے بڑھا کر 1500روپے کا ٹیرف مقرر کیاگیا ہے اس طرح صارفین کی استدعا پر وائر کنکشن منقطع کرنے کمرشل صارفین سے 989اور گھریلو صارفین سے 706 روپے ادا کریں گے کنکشن ملکیت کی تبدیلی کیلئے کمرشل صارفین 563 روپے اور گھریلو صارفین 350روپے فیس اداکریں گے اس طرح غیر قانونی کنکشن کو قانونی شکل دینے کیلئے گھریلو و کمرشل صارفین کو مجوزہ کنکشن فیس کے ساتھ ایک سال کا بل ادا کرنا ہو گا گھریلو صارفین کیلئے پانی کے نوے کنکشن کیلئے 2500 اور کمرشل صارفین کیلئے 5000روپے فیس مقرر کی گئی ہے جس کیلئے گھریلو صارفین کو 500 روپے جبکہ کمرشل صارفین کو 1500روپے لیبر بھی ادا کرنا ہو گا جبکہ کنکشن کیلئے تمام متعلقہ سامان بھی صارف مہیا کرے گا تاہم واسا نے 36کیٹگری کے حامل صارفین کیلئے بلوں میں کمی اور 83صارفین کے بلوں کی شرح برقرار رکھنے کی بھی سفارش کی تھی جسے کمیٹی نے منظور کر لیا۔

عراق : خود کش بم دھماکوں میں ٢ امریکی فوجیوں اور ٧ عراقی پولیس اہلکاروں سمیت ٢٠ افراد ہلاک ، ٥٤ زخمی ہو گئے

بغداد ۔عراق کے مختلف شہروں میں بم دھماکوں کے تازہ واقعات میں 2 امریکی فوجیوں اور 7 عراقی پولیس اہلکاروں سمیت کم از کم 20 افراد ہلاک اور 54 افراد زخمی ہو گئے ۔ دارالحکومت بغداد میں بم دھماکوں میں 10 افراد ہلاک اور 17 زخمی ہوئے ۔ صوبہ دیالہ کے قصبے ولاؤلہ میں ایک خاتون خود کش حملہ آور نے خود کو ایک پولیس سٹیشن کے قریب دھماکے سے اڑا لیا جس سے پانچ پولیس اہلکار اور ایک سیکیورٹی گارڈ ہلاک اور بارہ زخمی ہو گئے ایک اور واقعہ میں رمادی کے قریب ایک خود کش حملہ آورنے دھماکہ خیز مواد سے لدی کار ایک چوکی سے ٹکرا دی جس سے دو امریکی فوجی ہلاک اور تین زخمی ہو گئے ۔ اس حملے میں دو عراقی پولیس اہلکار ہلاک اور 24 شہری زخمی ہوئے ۔ بصرہ میں سڑک پر نصب بم دھما کے میں ایک امریکی فوجی ہلاک اور ایک زخمی ہو گیا ۔ ادھر اتحادی فوجوں نے بصرہ میں اپنی کارروائیاں تیز کر دیں ۔ خصوصی فوجی دستے ان کارروائیوں میں حصہ لے رہے ہیں اور ان کی مدد کے لیے مزید ایک ہزار سے زیادہ فوجی شہر میں بھیجے گئے ہیں

صومالیہ، ایتھوپین فوج کی مساجد اور مسلمان شہریوں پر بمباری، ٩ علماء شہید

موغا دیشو۔ صومالیہ کے دارالحکومت موغا دیشو میں ایتھوپین فوج کی کا روائی سے 9 علماء شہید ہو گئے۔ دو روز قبل ہونے والی مساجد اور مسلمان شہریوں پر بمباری اور فائرنگ کے نتیجے میں 214صومالین شہری جاں بحق اور 400 سے زائد زخمی ہوئے ۔اطلاعات کے مطابق دو دن قبل ہونے والی بمباری سے جاں بحق ہونے والوں میں 9 علماء بھی شامل ہیں جن کو فوج کی جانب کی گئی بمباری میں شہید کر دیا گیا ہے انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں کا کہنا ہے کہ ایتھوپیائی فوج براہ راست شہریوں پر حملہ کررہی ہے جنہیں اسلام پسندوں نے ڈھال بنایا ہوا ہے صومالیہ کے وزیر اعظم نے عالمی برادری سے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ موغا دیشو میں ایتھوپیائی فوج کے ہاتھوں ہونے والے انسانی قتل عام کورکوانے کیلئے اپنا کر دار ادا کرے ادھر فوج نے 42صومالیائی طلباء کو گرفتار کیا ہے جنہیں نامعلوم مقام پر منتقل کر دیا گیا ہے واضح رہے کہ 1991کے بعد صومالیا میں ہونے والے یہ بد ترین فساد ہیں جن میں اتنی تعداد میں لوگوں کی جانیں گئی ہیں۔

پاکستان کی فوجی امداد روکی جا سکتی ہے ۔بارک اوباما

پنسلوانیہ ۔ امریکی کی ڈیموکریٹ پارٹی کے صدارتی امیدوار بارک اوباما نے کہا ہے کہ اگر پاکستان دہشت گردی کے خلاف جنگ میں امریکی مفادات کے تحفظ میں ناکام رہا تو امریکا پاکستان کو فوجی امداد کی ترسیل بند کرے گا۔ پنسلوانیہ میں خطاب کرتے ہوئے بارک اباما نے کہاہے کہ امریکا نے پاکستان کو امداد اس کی فوج کو بھارت سے جنگ لڑنے کے لیے فراہم نہیں کیا بلکہ خطے میں امریکی مفادات کے تحفظ کے لیے دیا ہے ۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی کہا ہے کہ فاٹا میں عسکریت پسندوں کی موجودگی امریکا کے لیے خطرہ ہے

اسرائیل پر حملے کی صورت میں ایران کو نیست و نابود کر دوں گی ‘ ہیلری کلنٹن

واشنگٹن ۔ ڈیموکریٹک پارٹی کی صدارتی امیدوار ہیلری کلنٹن نے تہران کو خبردار کیا ہے کہ اگر وہ صدر بن جائیں گی تو اسرائیل کے خلاف نیوکلیئر حملے کے جواب میں ایران کو نیست و نابود کر دیں گی ۔ اپنے حریف ڈیموکریٹ امیدوار بارک اوباما کے خلاف اپنی لڑائی میں ایک اہم دن نیویارک کی سینیٹر نے کہا کہ وہ تہران پر یہ واضح کر دینا چاہتی ہیں کہ وہ صدر کی حیثیت سے کچھ کرنے کے لئے تیار ہیں اور انہیں امید ہے کہ اس وارننگ سے یہودی مملکت کے خلاف ایران کسی نیوکلیئر حملے سے باز رہے گا ۔ کلنٹن نے اے بی سی کے گڈمارننگ امریکہ پروگرام میں ایک انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے کہ امیں ایرانیوں کو یہ بتا دینا چاہتی ہوں کہ اگر میں صدر بنی تو ہم ایران پر حملہ کر دیں گے ( اگر وہ اسرائیل پر حملہ کرتا ہے ) ۔ آئندہ دس سال میں جس کے دوران وہ اسرائیل پرحملے کی احمقانہ سوچ رکھ سکتے ہیں ہم اس صورت میں انہیں نیست و نابود کر دیں گے ۔ ہیلری کلنٹن نے کہا کہ یہ کہنا اچھی بات نہیں ہے لیکن جو لوگ ایران کو چلا رہے ہیں انہیں یہ بات سمجھنی چاہئے کیونکہ اس سے وہ غیر ذمہ دارانہ ‘ احمقانہ اور افسوسناک کارروائی کرنے سے باز رہ سکتے ہیں۔ ان کا یہ تبصرہ ایک ہفتہ قبل کے تبصرہ کے مقابلے میں کافی سخت ہے گزشتہ دنوں صدارتی مباحثے کے دوران انہوں نے اسرائیل پر ایران کے کسی حملے کے خلاف زبردست کارروائی کا وعدہ کیا تھا ۔ اوباما نے ایک ایسے دن ان کے اس جارحانہ موقف کو مسترد کر دیا جب پنسلوانیہ کے ڈیموکریٹس پارٹی کے داخلی مقابلے میں ووٹ دے رہے ہیں جس میں اس بات کا فیصلہ ہو گا کہ نومبر کے عام انتخابات میں وائٹ ہاؤس کے لئے ری پبلکن امیدوار جان میک کین سے کس ڈیموکریٹ امیدوار کا مقابلہ ہو گا ۔ ایلینائس کے سینیٹر اوباما نے اے بی سی کو ایک علیحدہ انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ گزشتہ چند برسوں سے ہم ایسی باتیں سن رہے ہیں جس میں نیست و نابود کرنا جیسے الفاظ کا استعمال کیا جا رہا ہے ۔ اس سے دراصل اچھے نتائج نہیں نکلتے اور اسی لئے مجھے اس میں کوئی دلچسپی نہیں ہے ۔ اوباما کی مہم کے ذمہ داروں نے ایک بیان جاری کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ کلنٹن اگست کے مباحثے میں اپنے ریمارکس سے اختلاف کر رہی ہیں جس میں اوباما نے سینئر القاعدہ ارکان کی موجودگی کی انٹیلی جنس اطلاعات پر پاکستان میں یکطرفہ کارروائی کی حمایت کی تھی لیکن ہیلری کلنٹن نے کہا تھا کہ وہ اس بات پر یقین نہیں رکھتیں کہ صدارتی انتخاب لڑنے والے افراد کو مفروضے پر مبنی ایسی باتوں میں ملوث ہونا چاہئے ۔ انہوں نے اسے غلطی بھی قرار دیا تھا اس دوران اوباما نے کہا کہ وہ اسرائیل یا امریکہ کے کسی دوسرے حلیف کے خلاف ایرانی حملے کا موثر اور پرزور جواب دے گا ۔

اسلام آباد ۔وفاقی وزیر خزانہ و اقتصادی امور سینیٹر اسحاق ڈار نے کہاہے کہ آئندہ مالی سال کا بجٹ غریب نواز ہو گا جو پارلیمنٹ کی مشاورت سے بنایا جائے گا ۔ یہ بات انہوں نے آج یہاں پلڈاٹ کے زیر اہتمام سیمینار میں خطاب اور بعد ازاں صحافیوں سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے بتائی ۔ اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر نجکاری کمیشن و صنعت و پیداوار سیدنوید قمر ، پاکستان پیپلز پارٹی کے ترجمان فرحت اللہ بابر اور دیگر اہم شخصیات بھی موجود تھیں ۔صحافیوں سے بات چیت کرتے ہوئے وزیر خزانہ اسحاق ڈار نے کہا کہ اس وقت ملک کی اقتصادی صورتحال انتہائی خوفناک ہے ۔ بجٹ خسارے افراط زر کی شرح مقررہ ہدف سے کہیں زیادہ ہے جسے کنٹرول کرنے کی ضرورت ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ سابقہ حکومت نے بجٹ میں لگائے گئے تخمینے سے کہیں زیادہ بینکوں سے قرضے لیے جس کے باعث بجٹ خسارہ بڑھ چکا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ آئندہ مالی سال کے بجٹ میں ہم مالیاتی پالیسی اور مانیٹری پالیسی پرنظر ثانی کریں گے اس کو بہتر کرنے کی کوشش کریں گے۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ آئندہ مالی سال کا بجٹ غریبوں کے لیے فلاح و بہبود کے لیے بنایا جائے گا اور غریب کو زیادہ سے زیادہ ریلیف دینے کی کوشش کی جائے گی۔ ایک سوال کے جواب میں انہوں نے کہاکہ میثاق جمہوریت میں ججوں کی تعیناتی کا طریقہ کار طے کیا گیا ہے کہ ججوں کی تعیناتی پارلیمنٹ کے ذریعے ہو گی ۔تاہم ججوں کی بحالی کا اس سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہے ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ پیپلز پارٹی اور مسلم لیگ ن کے درمیان اس بات پر اتفاق پایا جاتا ہے کہ 3 نومبر والی عدلیہ کو اسی جگہ پر بحال کرنا ہے اور ہم اعلان مری کے تحت حکومت کے قیام کے 30 دنوں میں عدلیہ کو بحال کرنے کے پابند ہیں اس سے قبل سیمینار سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وزیر خزانہ نے شرکاء سیمینار کو پاکستان میں پارلیمانی کارروائی کے حوالے سے بریفنگ دی۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ ہماری نئی حکومت پارلیمنٹ کی بالا دستی اور جمہوریت کی بحالی کے لیے عوامی خواہشات کے مطابق کام کر رہی ہے ۔ انہوں نے بتایا کہ دو سابق وزیر اعظم بے نظیر بھٹو اور نواز شریف کے درمیان طے پانے والی میثاق جمہوریت میں ججوں کی تعیناتی دونوں پارلیمان کے ذریعے کرانے پر اتفاق ہوا تھا تاہم اس قانون کا عدلیہ کی بحالی سے کوئی تعلق نہیں ہے ۔انہوں نے کہاکہ 3 نومبر کو ایمرجنسی پلس مارشل لاء لگا کر ججو ںکو معزول کر دیا گیا تھا جو قانون کی صریحاً خلاف ورزی تھی ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ ہم نے ان معزول ججوں کو ان کی جگہ پر بحال کرنے کا عوام سے کیا ہوا وعدہ پورا کریں گے ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ عوام نے ہمیں تبدیلی اور عدلیہ کی بحالی کے لیے ووٹ دیا ہے اور ہم عوام کی اس خواہش کو ضرور پورا کریں گے۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ پارلیمنٹ کے سامنے شروع سے ہی ایک چیلنج رہاہے کہ اسے معزول کر دیا جاتا ہے اس ملک میں چار مارشل لاء نافذ ہوئے اور پانچواں ایمرجنسی پلس مارشل لاء اور عدلیہ کے خلاف لگایا گیا۔ انہوں نے بجٹ کی تیاری کے حوالے سے کہاکہ پارلیمنٹ کا کوئی خاص کردار نہیں ہوتا ۔ تاہم آئندہ مالی سال کے بجٹ کی تیاری میں پارلیمنٹ سے بھی مشاورت کی جائے گی ۔تاکہ بجٹ بنانے میں پارلیمنٹ کا بھی کردار ہو ۔ انہوں نے کہاکہ اب بجٹ دستاویز خفیہ دستاویز نہیں کہلائے گی۔ اس موقع پر وفاقی وزیر نجکاری و سرمایہ کاری سید نوید قمر نے شرکاء سیمینار کو بجٹ کی تیاری کے حوالے سے بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے بتایا کہ پاکستان میں بجٹ جون میں پیش کیا جاتا ہے اور آئندہ مالی سال کے بجٹ پر کام شروع ہو چکا ہے جو جون کے آغاز میں مکمل کر لیا جائے گا ۔انہوں نے کہاکہ اب بجٹ خفیہ دستاویز نہیں بنائی جائے گی بلکہ اب اس میں زیادہ سے زیادہ لوگوں کی رائے لینے کے لیے اسے اوپن رکھا جائے گا ساراکام شفاف انداز میں ہو گا۔

اسلام آباد ۔ حکمران اتحاد نے معزول ججز کی بحالی کے حوالے سے قرار داد کے مسودے کو حتمی شکل دینے کے لیے وسیع البنیاد کمیٹی کے ناموں کا اعلان کر دیا ہے ۔کمیٹی 9 اراکین پر مشتمل ہو گی ۔ تفصیلات کے مطابق ججز کی بحالی کے حوالے سے قرار داد کے مسودے کو حتمی شکل دینے کے لیے حکمران اتحاد کی مجوزہ کمیٹی کا اعلان کر دیا گیا ہے کمیٹی میں سینئر وزیر چوہدری نثار علی خان ، سینٹ میں قائد ایوان سینیٹر رضا ربانی ، وفاقی وزیر قانون و انصاف فاروق ایچ نائیک ، وزیر خزانہ اسحاق ڈار ، وفاقی وزیر پٹرولیم و قدرتی وسائل خواجہ محمد آصف ، مشیر داخلہ رحمان ملک ، وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات شیری رحمان ، خواجہ حارث ایڈووکیٹ اور جسٹس ( ر ) فخر الدین جی ابراہیم کے صاحبزادے زاہد فخر الدین ایڈووکیٹ ، شامل ہیں پاکستان مسلم لیگ ن کے ترجمان صدیق الفاروق نے بدھ کو اسلام آباد میں میڈیا کے نمائندوں کو بتایا ۔ کمیٹی میں وکلاء حکمران اتحاد کے نمائندوں کی معاونت کریں گے جبکہ وزیر قانون فاروق ایچ نائیک اپنے اراکین کی معاونت کریں گے ۔انہوں نے بتایا کمیٹی عوامی نیشنل پارٹی کے سربراہ اسفند یار ولی خان ، جمعیت علماء اسلام ( ف ) کے سربراہ مولانا فضل الرحمان اور وکلاء رہنماوں سے بھی مشاورت کرے گی ۔ٹائم فریم کے مطابق قرار داد قومی اسمبلی میں پیش کر دی جائے گی ۔انہوں نے کہاکہ ججز کی بحالی کا وعدہ پوری قوم سے کیاگیا ہے جس سے کوئی سیاسی جماعت رو گردانی نہیں کرے گی ۔کمیٹی نے ابتدائی مشاورت کا سلسلہ شروع کر دیا ہے۔

اسلام آباد ۔ یورپین یونین کی خارجہ پالیسی کے سربراہ ہاویر سولانا نے کہا ہے کہ صدر پرویز مشرف اپنے عہدے کی مدت پوری ہونے تک صدر رہیں گے اور دہشت گردی کیخلاف جنگ جاری رہے گی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وہ تہذیبوں کے تصادم پر یقین نہیں رکھتے اور حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے خلاف توہین آمیز خاکوں اور قرآن کے خلاف فلم کی مذمت کرتے ہیں،۔بدھ کو پاکستان کے دورے کے دوران ایک نجی ٹی وی سے اپنے خصوصی انٹرویو میں ہاویر سولانا نے کہا کہ ہمیں امید ہے کہ دہشت گردی کیخلاف جنگ جاری رہے گی اورافغانستان و پاکستان دہشت گردی سے نجات حاصل کریں گیجس کے بعد اس خطے میں استحکام ہو گا۔انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان میں مذاکرات ان کے ساتھ ہو رہے ہیں جو تشدد چھوڑنے کیلئے تیار ہیں ، ان کے ساتھ مذاکرات میں حرج نہیں لیکن جو تشدد چھوڑنے کیلئے تیار نہیں ان سے مذاکرات مشکل ہیں۔ توہین آمیز خاکوں اور قران کے خلاف فلم پر ان کا کہنا تھا کہ یورپی یونین نے ان واقعات کی مذمت کی ہے ، لیکن ہمارے آئین میں آزادی اظہار کو تحفظ حاصل ہے ۔ یہ ہماری ثقافت ہے لہذا ہم اس اصول کا تحفظ کریں گے لیکن ہم کسی کے عقیدے کی توہین کرنے والوں کی مذمت کرتے ہیں۔انہوں نے کہا کہ اسلام اور مغرب کے درمیان غلط فہمیاں اتنی گہری نہیں ، میں تہذیبوں کے تصادم پر یقین نہیں رکھتا ۔

اسلام آباد۔ وزیر اعظم سید یوسف رضا گیلانی نے پارلیمنٹ لاجز سے وزراء کی بے دخلی کے لئے احکامات جاری کردئیے ہیں اور کہا ہے کہ ججز کی بحالی کے بارے میں پارٹی قیادت جو فیصلہ کرے گی وہ سب کو قابل قبول ہو نا چاہیے گندم کی قیمت خرید کا دوبارہ جائزہ لینے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے ضلعی زکوٰۃ کمیٹیاں دوبارہ تشکیل پائیں گی اراکین کو بجٹ سے قبل ایک ایک کروڑ روپے کے ترقیاتی فنڈز ملیں گے پارلیمنٹ لاجز سے وفاقی وزراء کی بے دخلی کے لئے احکامات جاری کر دئیے گئے ہیں ان خیالات کا اظہار انہوں نے بدھ کو پارلیمنٹ ہاؤس میں متحدہ حزب اقتدار کی پارلیمانی پارٹی کے اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کیا اجلاس میں مختلف ایشوز کے حوالے سے اراکین نے اپنی تجاویز پیش کیں وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ توانائی اور آٹے کے بحران کے لئے ہنگامی اقدامات کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے انہو ںنے کہا کہ تمام جمہوری اداروں کو مستحکم کیا جائے گا سابقہ حکومت کی غلط پالیسی کی وجہ سے عوام ادارہ زبوں حالی کا شکار ہیں انہو ںنے کہا کہ ملک بھر میںضلعی زکوٰۃ کمیٹیوں کی تشکیل نو کی جائے گی ہر رکن کو بجٹ سے قبل ایک کروڑ روپے کے ترقیاتی فنڈز ملیں گے انہو ںنے کہا کہ عوام کے مسائل کے حل کے علاوہ ہمارا کوئی اور ایجنڈا اور ذاتی مفادات نہیں ہیں نہ کوئی وفاقی وزیر پارلیمنٹ لاجز میں رہائش پذیرنہیں ہو سکیں گے تمام وزرار منسٹرز کالونی میں مقیم ہوں گے انہو ں نے کہا کہ جمہوری اورسیاسی قوتوں میں بڑھتی ہوئی ہم آہنگی ملک و قوم کیلئے خو ش آئند ہے حکومت اسے مزید فروغ دے گی اسی جذبے کے تحت صوبوں میںقائم ہوں گی ۔وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ ججز کی بحالی کا معاملے حکمران اتحاد کے قائدین کی مشاورت کے ساتھ طے ہو گا اس ضمن میں پارٹی قیادت جو فیصلہ کرے گی وہ سب کے لئے قابل قبول ہو گا ۔

پاک افغان سرحد کے قریب افغان فورسز کی کارروائی،10شر پسند ہلاک

اسلام آباد...پاک افغان سرحد کے قریب افغان فورسز نے کارروائی کر کے 10شرپسند وں کو ہلاک کردیاہے۔اس دوران دونوں ملکوں کی فورسز کے درمیان غلط فہمی کی بناپرفائرنگ کے تبادلے میں ایف سی کا ایک حوالدار شہید اور نائک زخمی ہوگیا،ڈی جی آئی ایس پر میجر جنرل اطہر عباس نے کہا کہ اس موقع پر کسی قسم کی کوئی فضائی کارروائی نہیں کی گئی۔آئی ایس پی آر کے مطابق آج صبح شرپسندوں نے افغان سرحد کے اس پار داؤد قلعے پر واقع چیک پوسٹ پر حملہ کیا،اس دوران فائرنگ کے تبادلے میں آٹھ سے دس شرپسندمارے گئے جبکہ باقی فرارہوگئے۔افغان بارڈر پر نواپاس پر واقع ایک چیک پوسٹ بھی اس کی زدمیں آگئی۔فرنٹیر کور نے جوابی فائرنگ کی جس پر غلط فہمی کے باعث افغان نیشنل آرمی اور ایف سی کے دستوں کے درمیان فائرنگ کا تبادلہ ہوا۔فائرنگ کے نتیجے میں ایف سی کا ایک حوالدار شہید اور ایک نائک زخمی ہوگیا۔گیارہ بجے کے قریب افغان آرمی کے دستے شرپسندوں کی تلاش میں نوا پاس پر واقع اون پوسٹ پر آئے تو انہیں بتایا گیا کہ اس طرف کوئی نہیں آیا۔آخری اطلاعات آنے تک پاکستان اور افغانستان کے مقامی کمانڈرز مسئلہ حل کرنے کے لیے مذاکرات کر رہے ہیں

FIRST IS the much awaited Tashan on April 25, having the biggest star cast ever. The highlight being the hot chemistry between the lovebirds, Saif and Kareena, who started their romance on the sets of this film.
The public thronged to see Jab We Met only to see their favourite couple Kareena and Shahid, even though they had split. Aditya is hoping that now they will throng to the theatres to see the even hotter chemistry between these love birds. Therefore, Aditya decided to only use the steamy twosome in the promos which annoyed Akshay Kumar who has since then refused two films with the Chopras. Kareena on her own is a huge attraction because of her looks and figure. Each star has been differently stylized adding more glamour to the film. The film also has Akshay Kumar who has given hit after hit. Another attraction is of course Anil Kappor who plays a villain after a long time. With all this, trade pundits says it may get the biggest opening of the year, even though the music is not as catchy as the usual Chopra films.
Bhoothnath has the two greats Amitabh and Shah Rukh starring in it. Ravi Chopra hopes that the reports of their enmity will add to the mystery of his film. Ravi had a hard time getting the two to star together. Even at the press meet Shah Rukh was conspicuous by his absence.
Only Amitabh attended with Juhi Chawla and cute Aman Siddiqui. The story revolves around the kid and the ghost played by Amitabh. Says a trade analyst, the film should do well because the script is very different and it has the USP of starring the two super star rivals. Kids seem to attract the audience these days, so little Aman may be the next little star after Darsheel of Taare Zameen Par. Bhoothnath releases on May 9.
Sarkar Raj’s USP are the three Bachchans all in one film. Abhishek and Aishwarya will be seen together for the first time after their marriage.
This time around Amitabh has looked into every scene of the film making sure Ram Gopal has not goofed up after his last flop Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag. June 20, the first wedding anniversary of Abhishek and Ash was also the Press meet.
Amitabh and Jaya along with Amar Singh attended while the couple is in Miami celebrating their anniversary together. Says a trade pundit the USP is definitely the three Bachchans together. The surprise will be Jaya Bachchan’s appearance in the film! This was a last minute decision. Imagine the entire Bachchan parivaar in one film!
Aashayein has the hot John Abraham and is directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. The story is about John, a good-for-nothing idler. He plays a compulsive gambler who hopes to win huge amount of money some day. That day eventually comes and he becomes rich in a single stroke of fate. But, on the same day he discovers that he has cancer. The film, as its title suggests, is about keeping hope in times of despair. Nagesh had asked John to loose weight for these scenes which John did under the guidance of a dietitian. The film also stars Shreyas Talpade and Prateeksha Lonkar. Says a trade analyst, “Kukunoor has a spate of good films behind him Dor, Bombay to Bangkok, Iqbal and Hyderabad Blues. The combination of John and Kukunoor will be the selling point. Most of Kukunoor’s films have a slow opening but catch up after word of mouth. The film releases on May 23.
Jannat which releases on May 16 has a very current theme about cricket and the bookies. It has Emraan Hashmi in the lead with Sonal Chauhan. The music is already a hit, the film has now to catch on. Says Emraan about the film, “We started with the idea of doing something on cricket as it’s a religion in India. But we wanted to say it in a way that was unusual and not anywhere close to any other sport film that has been made in the country. So we decided to make the protagonist a bookie. We show the entire world of cricket from his point of view. But we have not maligned the game. Yes, I met the bookies! They don’t meet people generally. They are usually anonymous and faceless.” To add to the publicity were the hot rumours about Emraan’s wife kicking up a ruckus about his co star Sonali. She did not like the stories that she was hearing about them. Suddenly we find that Sonali has been left out of the promos of the film! Adds a trade pundit, “All said and done, with the cricket fever at such a high pitch right now, the film should do good business, even though it is releasing a week after Bhoothnath on May 16.”
