ISLAMABAD : Minister for Law and Justice Farooq H.Naek Wednesday said a good decision regarding reinstatement of deposed judges is expected today evening.
Farooq Naek told newsmen at the parliament house that negotiations of the committee, formed by PPP and PML (N) leadership, for restoration of pre-November 3 judiciary, were moving forward in a constructive manner and all the members are playing their due role.
Replying to a question about resignation of Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim from the committee, the minister said that they were working under democratic principles and “in democracy every individual has right to express his point of view.”
When asked about postponement of by-polls, Farooq Naek said it was the decision of Election Commission, therefore, the chief election commissioner (CEC) and secretary EC could elaborate the reasons properly.
“Neither law ministry was consulted nor did it play any role for postponement of the polls,” he clarified.
