ISLAMABAD : Co-chairman Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has said that the pledges made by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani at floor of the house after securing unanimous vote of confidence from the National Assembly are difficult, but not impossible.
These are the dreams of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, he himself and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani dreamt in solitude in jails.
He expressed strong conviction that people of the country by the grace of Allah Almighty would see translating these dreams and pledges into reality very soon.
The PPP Co-chairman said that all coalition partners had been taken into confidence before announcing the plan for welfare of the common man, progress and prosperity of the country.
He said, the new government was committed to make the judiciary superior and police as a better service, adding “law and order are two important challenges to us.”
Commenting on the judiciary issue, he said “I do not think that this is a much difficult task as it appears to our friends,” and added its solution would come very soon and may be sooner than 30 days.
