‘Govt top priority to overcome price hike, lawlessness’: Khosa




LAHORE : The top priority of the coalition government of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Peoples Party Pakistan (PPP) is to overcome price hike and lawlessness in the province. Newly elected Punjab Chief Minister Dost Muhammad Khosa and PPP parliamentary leader in PA Raja Riaz Ahmad said while addressing a joint press conference after the oath taking ceremony of the chief minister at Governor’s House here on Saturday.
“The government is committed to provide relief and maintain peaceful atmosphere in the province,” they stressed.
They said that the country is facing many challenges for the last eight years like spiralling inflation, terrorism,unemployment, poverty and lawlessness.
Dost Muhammad Khosa said that the government would provide modern health and education facilities to the people.
To a question about the reinstatement of deposed judges,Khosa said the federal government would resolve the issue.
Raja Riaz paying rich tribute to Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto said that she sacrificed her life for the promotion of democracy in the country.
He said PPP will continue the mission of Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto.
Both the leaders also pledged to continue their struggle against dictatorship, promotion of democracy and provision of relief to common people.
