109th Corps Commanders Conference underway

RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani is presiding over 109th Corps Commanders Conference, currently underway at General Headquarters (GHQ).Corps Commanders and Principal Staff Officers are participating in the moot.Besides discussing issues relating to regional geo strategic and internal security situation, the army would also determine its role with regard to circumstances in Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) during the conference, reported ARY One World.The participants would also find ways and means to further improve professional capabilities of Pakistan army. Pak-Afghan border matters would also come under discussion.The participants would also review increasing changing scenario at country’s western border and would chalk out strategy in this respect, sources concluded.
