Rahman Malik denies any deal for envoy’s release

ISLAMABAD : Advisor on Interior Rahman Malik has denied that government has freed a Taliban leader for the recovery of kidnapped Ambassador Tarique Azizuddin.
Rahman Malik in a clarification Tuesday said Taliban leader Maulana Ubaidullah has not been freed to secure release of Tarique Azizuddin, and he is still in government custody, Geo TV reported.
He also denied holding talks with the abductors for recovery of the kidnapped ambassador.
