Al-Qaida issues videotape on Lal Masjid incident




KARACHI : Al-Qaida media cell Ashab on Friday issued a videotape on the first anniversary of ‘Lal Masjid’ incident, in which al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden and other leaders have paid tribute to the people killed in the Lal Masjid tragedy. The videotape sent to ARY One World by Al-Qaida media cell was the first one issued by the organization in Urdu.In the videotape received by ARY One World, Al-Qaida has asked the people of Pakistan to play their role in change of existing foreign policy of the country. Videotape includes past messages of Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and Abu Yahya al-Abbi, in which Ghazi Abdul Rasheed has been termed as Imam-e-Ummat.The leaders of religious and political parties have been criticized in the videotape with the remarks that the religious parties being trapped in conspiracies because of their greed for power. The tape appealed the Muslim countries to wage Jihad against the United States, it has also urged Pakistani tribesmen and Mujahideen to remain united. Al-Qaida network has also claimed responsibility of London attacks in the video. The videotape also includes footage of Al-Qaida operations in various parts of the world.
