PESHAWAR: NWFP Government has allocated Rs. 174.820 million for the development of Peshawar city in fiscal year 2008-09.
NWFP Minister for Finance Eng. Hamayun Khan while presenting annual budget here on Monday said that in financial year out of 14 projects 8 are ongoing whereas 6 are new would be initiated while various projects of renovation and decoration of roads, its construction, exploration of solutions to the traffic problems and for road extension would be started.
He said these projects uplift work would be strated in GT Road, Jamrud Road, Saddar Road and Rehman Baba Road.
Likewise, he said that other projects like improvement of sewerage system, construction of 11 additional fly over, underpasses and construction of Ring Road to southern by pass were included in the new planes.
Moreover, he said there were new projects for renovation of GT Road green belt, construction of roads, streets and proper disposal of garbage. “A new bus terminal in Peshawar would be built on modern lines,” he added.
