PESHAWAR : NWFP Finance Minister, Humayun Khan said on Monday that Rs.35.1 million has been allocated for empowerment of minorities in fiscal year 2008-09.
Presenting the maiden budget of NWFP coalition government here, the Minister said that the government has initiated several mega schemes to ensure restoration, repair and maintenance of the sacred religious premises of minorities such as temple and churches.
Moreover, special package for minority segment of Kalash valley will be provided. In this regard, he said that seven schemes including four new have been included in ADP for development of minorities sector.
