Conspiracy of ethnic riots foiled: Mirza
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza has said that a conspiracy of ethnic riots in Karachi hatched by the undemocratic forces and anti-state elements has been foiled.Addressing a press conference in Karachi the home minister said that the chief minister had issued suspension orders of the police officers negligent of their duty but no such police official has been found. He said an investigation team headed by Saudi Mirza tackling the probe. Mirza said eight motorbikes were used for the series of blasts in Karachi, which occurred with one and one and half minute intervals. He said the government has taken steps to curb the kidnapping for ransom incidents and no such incident has been reported within last one week. Talking on law and order situation in Karachi’s Lyari area, the minister said that the situation returning to normalcy after deployment of the Rangers contingents.
