IG Sindh directed for measures against mob reaction




ISLAMABAD : Advisor to Prime Minister on Interior Rehman A. Malik has directed the inspector general police (IGP) Sindh to take immediate measures to stop dangerous and barbaric trend of inhuman mob justice.
Recent incidents of beating, lynching and burning robbers by mobs in Karachi is a matter of serious concern for the government as these acts of mob justice are inhuman and uncivilized, says a press release issued here by the Ministry of Interior.
Since law exist to deal with such criminal incidents, unlawful acts of mobs would not be tolerated and strict action against those involved shall be taken, Rehman Malik said.
The advisor to PM has further directed IGP to reactivate the system of quick response to such incidents by using MADGAR-15.
