Governor Punjab calls on Asif Zardari

ISLAMABAD : Governor of Punjab Salman Taseer Thursday called on Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari here at Zardari House. Senior minister of the government of Punjab Raja Riaz also accompanied him. Political and administrative issues particularly the situation arising out of the resignations of PML-N ministers, the major coalition partner of the government, Judicial crisis and party matters were discussed in the meeting.
Sources said Co-Chairman directed Governor and Senior minister to move forward for improving relationship with coalition partners in Punjab government and pay heed to reservations of PML-N top leadership.
The Governor also presented a report to Asif Zardari on distinct political and managerial issues and consulted him.
The Co-Chairman also stressed developing enduring relations of party’s leadership with workers and resolving their problems. Zardari maintained that federal and provincial ministers would hold Kutcherys at party offices and their respective districts.
There was a consensus that problems of the commonman must be resolved at their doorstep to restore their confidence in PPP.
