NWFP denies protocol to deposed CJ

ISLAMABAD : NWFP government will not extend official protocol to the deposed chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on his arrival in Peshawar to attend a convention.
Provincial Minister for Law, Barrister Abdullah talking to Geo Wednesday termed the provision of government's protocol to the deposed CJ a step that would not be based on reality, saying: "we should also try to end the VIP culture."
However, he said, complete security will be provided to Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry when he comes to attend the convention there.
Barrister Abdullah said, whatever decision Asfandyar Wali and Asif Ali Zardari take regarding the restoration of judges will be acceptable to the NWFP government.
