ATC issues non-bailable warrants of Baitullah Mahsood, adjourns BB case hearing till April 21

RAWALPINDI : The Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) No.1 here Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants of local Taliban leader Baitullah Mahsood with the direction to produce the accused in R A Bazar suicide attack before the court on April 21.
The court observed that if in case the accused were not arrested and produced before the court, he (the accused Baitullah Mahsood) will be declared as proclaimed offender.
The judge of the court Ch. Habibur Rehman also extended judicial remand of two accused including Rafaqat and Hasnain Gull in R A Bazar and Civil Lines suicide attacks till April 21.
Both the accused Rafaqat and Hasnain Gull during investigations in Mohterma Benazir Bhutto murder case had also confessed their involvement in R A Bazar and Civil Lines suicide attacks.
Former Premier and PPP Chairperson Mohterma Benazir Bhutto was martyred in a suicide attack soon after addressing a public rally in connection with the elections campaign at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi on December 27, 2007.
It is mentioned here that the learned court had already directed the authorities concerned to make arrangements for the publication of advertisement in the print and electronic media for the arrest of Baitullah Mahsood and other accused with the directions to display theses advertisements at all the police stations and other important public places for their identity in the general public.
