Pakistan’s defence impregnable: Ahmad Mukhtar

ISLAMABAD : Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar said Pakistan army is well prepared to counter the menace of terrorism.While talking to Dawn channel, he said if somebody is coming from USA to teach them to fight against terrorism they would like to learn.He said Pakistan has strengthened its role at Pak-Afghan border.
The confidence building measures (CBMs) with India are working well and Pakistan has improved relations with its neighbour.
The relations needed to be further strengthened for the mutual benefit of the two sides, he stressed.
He underlined the need to build trust with India. He said easy cross the border movement and increase in bilateral trade will bring the two countries together.He was hopeful that Kashmir issue would be resolved.
He said Pakistan has adopted a multidimensional approach to stem the tide of terrorism through negotiations and economic development.
Pakistan is keen on countering real issues like poverty, ignorance and sense of deprivation, the Minister added.
