President, PM, leaders condemn manhandling of Sher Afgan
LAHORE: President, prime minister and various political and religious leaders have strongly condemned the deplorable incident of physical torture of Dr. Sher Afgan in Lahore on Tuesday.Muttahidda Qaumi Movement’s quaid Altaf Hussain termed the violence against former federal minister Dr. Sher Afgan Niazi a open terror and declared it a black chapter of the political history of Pakistan.Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and former chief minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi strongly condemned the manhandling of Dr. Sher Afgan.Among other leaders, who condemned the deplorable incident, were Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Babr Ghauri, Aitezaz Ahsan, Imran Khan, Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed, Akram Khan Durrani and Munir A. Malik.
