This was stated by Ms Sherry Rehman, Minister for Health on Friday. She urged the provincial governments to take stern action against uncertified medical practitioners and bring them to book. She was talking to a delegation of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) here.
The Minister said that government would formulate a comprehensive National Health Policy after consultation with all stakeholders and PMA has already been included in the Task Force formed for this purpose. She said that all efforts would be made to increase health expenditure over the next five years to make healthcare facilities not only accessible but also affordable to the poor.
