Nawaz Sharif to address lawyers’ long march in Lahore
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Quaid and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would address the lawyers’ long march at Data Darbar, Lahore on Wednesday, said PML-N Secretary Information Ahsan Iqbal.
Addressing a news conference here Tuesday at the Central Secretariat, Ahsan Iqbal said that Nawaz Sharif who is presently in the United Kingdom to inquire after his wife Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif’s health, is coming back to home to express solidarity with lawyers.
The long march started from Karachi on Monday, is scheduled to reach Lahore on Wednesday.
Ahsan Iqbal said that the party office bearers and workers countrywide have been directed to extend every possible support to lawyers movement and show their vigorous participation in the long-march.
Replying a question, PML-N Secretary Information said that there is no change in the party’s stance and PML-N want to restore the deposed judges in line with the March 9 Declaration signed by PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
