Shahbaz Sharif elected unopposed MPA from PP-48

BHAKKAR: The PML(N) president Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has been elected unopposed as an MPA from PP-48 Bhakkar-II as all the other contesting candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers.
This was announced by the Returning Officer (RO) PP-48 here on Monday.
It may be recalled that the said seat was vacated by Saeed Akbar Khan Niwani who had been elected as an MPA from two constituencies - PP-48 Bhakkar-II and PP-49 Bhakkar-III. Later, he retained PP-49 seat and vacated PP-48 on which PML(N) president Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif filed his nomination papers.
Similarly, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar had also filed his nomination papers as covering candidate of Main Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif whose candidature has also been withdrawn.
