Judges be reinstated through parliament: Fehmida Mirza







ISLAMABAD : National Assembly Speakder Dr. Fehmida Mirza Thursday said that judges should be reinstated through the parliament. In an interview with private tv channel (Express News), she said a constitutional package would soon be tabled in the parliament.
Dr. Fehmida said all laws coming in the way of supremacy of the parliament will be abolished.
The Speaker also said that as part of the parliament the President must address a joint session. She said address of the President is a requirement of the constitution and she has also issued a ruling in this regard.
She said the Prime Minister would soon send a summary to the president inviting him to address the parliament.
To a question she said appointment of heads of standing committees would be started after the budget session.
She said the government and opposition are extending full support in running the affairs of parliament. The Speaker said she is not facing any problem in running the house.
