PPP to ensure good governance, equitable justice: Farzana

ISLAMABAD, Mar 26 : Pakistan People’s Party, Information Secretary Punjab, MNA, Farzana Raja here Wednesday said that PPP supported all pro-democratic forces to develop national consensus on all matters of national importance. “All important issues of national importance would be brought into the parliament while the matter of restoring judges and freedom of press would be given due respect,” she said while talking to APP.
She said that Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani after taking vote of confidence from the National Assembly would announce first 100-day plan aiming at providing relief to the people specially the common man.
Farzana Raja said that the new set-up has to face challenges like terrorism and PPP would take along all political parties to combat the scourge of terrorism for peace in the country.
She said PPP is a symbol of federation, having representation in all provinces and has roots in the masses, and would play its role for progress and development of the country.
Farzana Raja criticized the past seven years policies of the PML-Q government, which created a lot of problems for the people of the country.
She said that PPP is the party of the masses and it would work for the welfare of the people and bring changes in the system to achieve this objective.
Commenting on the women issues, she said their representation would be enhanced in diverse fields to empower them in accordance with PPP’s manifesto.
However, proper legislation would be initiated to resolve women related issues and discriminatory laws in this regard would be brought to an end.
Highlighting the salient features of party’s manifesto, she said the PPP lays its main focus on 5E’s formula including Energy, Employment, Education, Environment and Empowerment to change destiny of the nation.
PPP would support ANP, JUI and PML (N) as coalition partners for improving law and order situation in the country.
