Govt. committed to provide free health facilities: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD : Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Health, Sherry Rehman on Saturday said the government is committed to provide free and better quality health facilities to all. Talking to a high level delegation of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), the minister said all possible steps would be taken in this regard and requisite laws would be made to ensure sustainability of the facilities.
Sherry said “Delivery of health facilities free of cost and of better quality is the commitment of the present government with its people and no delay in this regard will be tolerated.”
She directed that the curriculum of the medical colleges should be revised urgently and condition of the public hospitals should be improved. She appreciated the role of PMDC in ensuring quality in medical institutions and hoped that it will continue its meritorious services.
The PMDC delegation briefed the minister about the responsibilities of PMDC and the services rendered by it.
