GUJAR KHAN : Minister for Water, Manpower and Tourism Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said Saturday problem of power shortage would be tackled within six months.
He expressed these views while addressing a public gathering in Gujar Khan.
Member Provincial Assembly Raja Tariq Kiyani, Brigadier Muhammad Hassan, Shahid Ashraf, Farakh Sial, Tahir Raheem and Chaudhry Waseem also spoke on the occasion.
Addressing the congregation the Federal Minister said the government will intensify efforts for promotion of education.
He announced building of a girls college as well as a boys college which will be constructed in Gujar Khan. He also announced construction of a university.
He said that Rs. 250 million has been allocated for a survey by NESPAK to improve communication network.
The Minister also announced provision of sui gas for the area.
He assured that deposed judges would be restored according to the decision made by the coalition partners in the federal government.
He urged the politicians to work for the betterment of the country.
He paid rich tribute to Benazir Bhutto saying that the services rendered by her could never be forgotten.
Benazir Bhutto was a bold leader and she sacrificed her life for the supreme cause of the country, he added.
