KARACHI — Inspector-General (IG) of Sindh Police Shoaib Suddle has ordered a probe into the cases wherein various police officers were targeted in the city. He has also ordered an investigation into the May12, 2007 and April 9 incidents. In this regard the IG has appointed DIG Investigation Ghulam Qadir Thabo as chairman of the inquiry team.
Suddle presided over a meeting of senior police officers and discussed the progress of cases pertaining to the target killing of police officers as well as the victims of May 12 mayhem and April 9 incidents in which five persons, including lawyers, were burnt alive.
