Indian Foreign Secretary likely to visit Islamabad for talks next month

NEW DELHI, March 27 : Indian Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon is likely to visit Pakistan next month for a wrap meeting of fourth Composite Dialogue completed between both the countries in October last year.
The review meeting will also set tone for the start of fifth round of Composite Dialogue. Eight subjects are covered under the dialogue including Kashmir, Siachen, Sir Creek, trade and Confidential Building Measures.
During the parleys, both the Foreign Secretaries will review the progress made on all the eight issues, Media reports quoting sources here said.
The Secretary-level talks in Islamabad will be followed by visit of Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who will hold talks with his Pakistani counter-part. The new Pakistan Foreign Minister is expected to take oath in a few days.
Meanwhile, Pranab Mukherjee, while a addressing a press conference in Washington on Tuesday said “we are hoping to renew the composite dialogue with Pakistan. I myself have expressed desire to visit Pakistan as soon as the new government is in place and I am waiting for that. “
