KARACHI: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the prices of petrol and diesel by 10 percent and the price of kerosene oil by 30 percent.
According to the sources the new prices of petrol and high speed diesel will be Rs 75.69 per litre and Rs 55.15 per litre respectively while light diesel, kerosene oil and high octane petrol will now be sold at Rs 49.06, Rs 49.73 and Rs 88.86 per litre respectively.
A senior government official had said on June 15 that the government had planned to automatically pass on any increase in world oil prices to domestic consumers and phase out subsidies entirely by the end of 2008.
