SRINAGAR: Kashmiri liberation leader Yasin Malik among fifteen others wounded on Saturday when Indian Army opened fire on a protest rally held against the transfer of land to a Hindu pilgrim body.
Leader of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) was leading a protest rally at the summer-capital of disputed valley when he was come under-fire by Indian troops, said eyewitnesses.“Central Reserve Police also tortured Malik who suffered bullet injuries in the incident,” a JKLF spokesman told the newsmen, adding that the liberation leader was rushed to the nearby hospital where his condition was being reported critical. Meanwhile, Indian army raided at the headquarters of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) in Srinagar and arrested five leaders of the alliance. The detainees include Democratic Freedom Party chief Shabbir Shah, JK National Front president Naeem Ahmed Khan and three others who were later transferred to unknown place.
