Gilani pays respects at Bhutto’s mausoleum







GARHI KHUDA BUX, : Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Friday paid rich tributes to late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for rendering the supreme sacrifice of laying down his life for the cause of democracy.The Prime Minister who arrived here at the mausoleum of late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to pay his respects and offered fateha on his 29th death anniversary, earlier paid homage to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah at Karachi before heading for Larkana.
Prime Minister Gilani said late Bhutto was infact an ideology and a mission, as he made the country a nuclear power, gave the nation a unanimously agreed constitution and gave Pakistan its true international stature.
The Prime Minister and other leaders observed a two-minute silence to pay his respcts. The Prime Minister was accompanied by co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, members of federal cabinet, deputy speaker and senior leadership of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
Strict security arrangements were in place, and the white three-tombed mausoluem was adorned with tri-colour banners and flags of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
