Beijing Olympic Torch Relay leaves for India

ISLAMABAD : The Beijing Olympic Torch Relay left for India here Wednesday night after a spectacular show at the Indoor Liaquat Gymnasium.
Pakistan’s Olympic Chief Lt. Gen. ® Syed Arif Hasan and Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yau Hui saw off the members of the Olympic Torch Relay at PAF Base Chaklala for New Delhi, the next stop on its worldwide tour.
The relay will trek a total distance of 137000 kms on its worldwide tour of 22 cities of 19 countries of the world.
Besides Islamabad the Olympic Torch so far has visited Almaty, Istanbul St. Petersburg, Moscow, London, Paris, Sans Francisco, Dares us salam and Muscat.
