Gilani visits PIMS, inquires about injured

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Monday visited Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and inquired about those injured in last night’s suicide blast at Melody. He told reporters that an inquiry has already been ordered and said the perpetrators of such heinous crime will not escape the law.
The Prime Minister said that the incident has brought a bad name to Pakistan adding such acts do not serve the purpose of Islam.
He said the police personnel played an important role in the smooth conduct of Shuhada Conference at Lal Masjid.
He paid tributes to slain policemen and said they protected others at the cost of their own lives.
Earlier, he went to the injured and inquired about their welfare and expressed satisfaction at the treatment being provided to them by the hospital.
