Governor’s rule imposed in Held Kashmir

SRINAGR: Governor’s rule has been imposed in Held Kashmir after Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday refused to face the vote of confidence in the state legislative assembly and stepped down.Governor N N Vohra assumed executive powers after collapse of the Congress-led government in the occupied territory. Earlier, Azad went to Governor N N Vohra and submitted his resignation after he delivered a speech highlighting the performance during his governance.The House session, which was specially convened after key alliance partner Peoples Democratic Party pulled out of the Congress-led government amid the difference over Amarnath land transfer row last week.Azad sought permission from the Speaker of the House to withdraw the confidence motion and went to the governor house to tender his resignation.
