PESHAWAR — Five more ministers took oath here yesterday, raising the strength of NWFP cabinet to 27.
NWFP Governor Awais Ahmad Ghani administered the oath to new ministers of whom three were affiliated to the ANP, one belong to the PPP-Sherpao, while one is independent from Mansehra. NWFP Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti was also present on the occasion.
The new ministers included Qazi Mohammad Asad from Haripur, Amjad Afridi from Kohat, Haji Hidayatullah Khan from Lower Dir, Pervez Khattak from Nowshehra and Habibur Rehman Tanoli from Mansehra. The first three are affiliated to the ANP, while Both Pervez Khattak and Habibur Rehman Tanoli belong to the PPP.
With the induction of five ministers, representation of Mansehra, Nowshehra and Dir in the cabinet has further enhanced. Now four out of six MPA’s from Mansehra are part of the cabinet whereas representation from Nowshehra has raised to three and Lower Dir to two.
The oath taking ceremony was also attended by Senior Ministers Rahim Dad Khan and Bashir Ahmad Bilour.
