PML-N stands firm on resignations: Ch. Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Tuesday said his party’s ministers be considered to stand resigned regardless of the fact the resignations are accepted or not.He was addressing a news conference here along with the PML-N’s resigning ministers after presenting the resignations to the Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani.“We were not given the government of Punjab in charity and if even if we have to quit Punjab government for the sake of accomplishing a great national objective we ready for it,” Chaudhry Nisar claimed. He said initially the resignations were addressed to the Prime Minister but some constitutional requirements make it necessary to address these to President’s Office. Because we do not consider Pervez Musharraf a constitutional President, we addressed the resignations to the Prime Minister, he clarified.Pakistan Muslim League-N does not believe in politics of power that is why not just one or two but fifteen ministries were given up as a sacrifice for a cause, he claimed.
