Ruling coalition fail to fulfil any promise:Shujaat

Chaudhry Ahsan Premee

LAHORE : The coalition government has failed to fulfil any one of its promises during the last one month. PML-Q President Ch.Shujaat Hussain and General Secretary Mushahid Hussain said this while addressing a joint press conference here on Sunday.
They were of the view that increase in prices during last one month is more than the collective hike of last five years.
Ch. Shujaat said that the issue of judges was being politicised otherwise there was no constitutional problem in this regard.
He said that the ruling coalition should fulfil its promise regarding the issue of judges otherwise PML-Q would bring a resolution on it in the parliament.
Shujaat said it seems that ruling coalition will split even before PML-Q’s assessment adding that PML-N is looking for excuses to part ways with the coalition.
To a question, he said that present and previous democratic systems in the country had flaws.
Shujaat also rejected the impression of existence of any forward block in PML-Q. He said that PML-Q has not yet decided to support the ruling coalition to withdraw power of the president to dissolve assemblies.
Ch.Shujaat Hussain said that present government is presenting concocted facts and figures before the nation to accuse previous government.
He also criticised the present government of taking credit of programmes initiated by the previous government for development and public welfare.
Speaking on the occasion Mushahid Hussain urged the government to seek guidance from the recommendations prepared by the then parliamentary committee constituted by the previous government. The committee was headed by Ch.Shujaat Hussain and was formed in consultation with all political parties in the country.
He said that the committee was working by keeping the party-politics away to solve the issue in the larger interest of people of the province.
