Life is a beach

LOVEBIRDS AYESHA Takia and Farhan Azmi are excited about their new project together. A boutique hotel in Goa! Says Ayesha, “It’s a dream come true for Farhan and I. We have been planning to do something together for the past year.
We got this fabulous property after a long search. It is a 200- year old Portuguese bungalow in Candolin with a massive garden. It also has a well. The bungalow is quite secluded surrounded with old beautiful trees and is just ten minutes away from the beach. Our plans include us building a luxurious swimming pool, constructing a lounge area and to complete the ambience we are concentrating on great music and a superb cuisine.
“We plan to launch our first hotel in Goa and then are planning to launch 12 more hotels all over India. Isn’t that exciting?” gushes an excited Ayesha.
“Each of our hotels will have 20 rooms being boutique hotels. We love Goa and plan to visit it more often to see that our dream project gets completed.”
Boyfriend Farhan is a restauranter and owns Koyla and Basilico in South Mumbai and in Bandra. Says Farhan, “We have been planning this for a long time and finally it has materialised. Ayesha is as interested in this project as I am. She and I are in this together. Ayesha is interested in doing other things rather than just acting which is so great. Today she becomes my life and business partner.” So in other words, Farhan has hinted that they plan to marry soon. They have been going around for years with their respective parents’ approval and have been very open about their relationship from the very beginning. Says Ayesha, “I’m in love and I’m proud about the fact so why should I hide it. But I don’t like to discuss my personal life with anybody because like everybody we actors too have a right to privacy. Love is very important to me. It’s a very feel-good experience. When you’re in love everything seems to be beautiful and larger than life all of a sudden.”
Continues Farhan, “Ayesha and I have thought of many names but have finally decided to keep to our existing brand names. We may call it Basilico House Boutique. We want it to sound warm and international. We plan to have buggies for our guests to move around in. Though our rooms will be modern we want to keep the feel of it being ethnic. We plan to have an airport pick up and drop too.”
Ayesha and Farhan are obviously preparing the world to know that marriage is definitely on the cards, especially as, for the first time Farhan has spoken to the Press and proclaimed his love for Ayesha saying, “We are now life partners too!”
