US-Pak Business Council reelects Collins, Ghauri as its leaders




WASHINGTON : The U.S.-Pakistan Business Council, an affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, has announced the re-election of Jay Collins, Global Head of Citi’s Public Sector Group, as chairman of USPBC and Najeeb Ghauri, chairman of Netsol Technologies, as vice chairman.
Both will serve for two-year terms, the Council said in a news release..
“Jay has been an exemplary leader over the past two years, said Myron Brilliant, the Chamber’s vice president for Asia. “His familiarity with the issues facing the business community in Pakistan has been a great asset and we know he will continue to strengthen the Council in his second term.”
“Najeeb was an integral part in the Council’s founding,” Brilliant said. “We value his continued dedication to the USPBC and to U.S.-Pakistan commercial relations.”
The US Pakistan Business Council is the leading private sector association in the United States promoting trade and investment between the United States and Pakistan. The Council consists of senior executives representing major U.S. companies that invest in Pakistan’s financial services, energy and power, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, IT and telecommunications sectors.
The U.S. Chamber is the world’s largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations of every size, sector and region.
