Islamabad : Mrs. Rizwan Khan, a BS-20 officer of Information Group has been appointed as Director General/Principal Information Officer in her own pay and scale with immediate effect and until further orders.
Prior to her new assignment, she was working as Deputy Director General, PID, and Islamabad with a vast experience of 34 years in public relations and media management.
Mrs. Rizwan has the distinction of serving the first lady press attaché and press consular at the Pakistan foreign missions at Hong Kong and New York. She has also remained in charge of the press information Department Karachi office.
Her incumbent assignment is another feather to her chequered career of being the first lady undertaking the coveted post of Principal Information Officer.
Mrs. Rizwan completed her masters in Mass Communication from the University of Karachi and has remained editor of a magazine before joining the civil service. She has been a regular contributor to the leading national dailies.
